Hello, I have been using the Filr Free option for a long time, and now I see that when I log in with the ShopManager account in WooCommerce, I don’t have access to the Filr upload page. Do I need to use the Pro version, or am I doing something wrong?

A small bug report…

If we try to add .m4a files on the Add New File page in the dashboard, it uploads them, shows a tick, then once you press publish the entry is saved but is empty and there is no link.

The File Download section shows “You have not added any files yet.”

All other file types we use (PDF, Word docs, mp3s, mp4s) are working fine.

If the .m4a file extension is changed (not converted) to be .mp4 it works.

Please address the security issue detected by Really Simple SSL.

Since 2021 we are using free version of FILR plugins, however since 03-05-2024 our uploaded files are not showing on the Website, however the files are available safely in WP Admin and showing the status published.

Message: Hello, I have a strange problem. When I upload files (eg PDF) using fileuploder as an author via the WP frontend, all of them are converted to zip files. If I replace the file as an admin, it still downloads as a zip, but if I delete the file entry as admin and recreate it, it downloads as a PDF.

I’ve had to temporarily downgrade to the last version of the plugin because of the missing files issue in the latest release, so wonder if that could be related.

Originally we were having the issue of Documents just showing the broken url in the Filr Library – Which was claimed to be fixed in the last update.

Now, only the Administrators can view them. No other user role can access these documents. They don’t show at all in the Filr library.

Is this also a bug?

Hello! We are using Filr on our website, and it has been working well. Now for some reason all the files in every library have their preview links broken. Instead of the link to preview a file, the UI element is displaying the HTML code where the file name used to be:

2023 Syyskokous<a role=”button” aria-label=”Preview file” class=”filr-preview” href=”[file url]”></a>

Is this a bug from the plugin or can i do something on our end to fix this?

I am using filr and it is super fine. But I encountered a problem, and I am not sure how to solve it. I upload binaries (exe) of my software and I sometimes want to update them. But when I do so, the exe gets uploaded, then I press update on the right side of the post and then the newly uploaded file disappears. I set ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS to true, so it should not beeing blocked.

Do you have any ideas, what is going wrong?

I tried your demo plugin, and I’ve noticed that the expire the download link after remaining downloads ticks to 0 does not work. Do you plan to fix this?

To replicate the issue, please go to the demo site, upload any test file, and set the download count to 1 or 2. Even when it hits zero, you are still able to download the file using the same link as many times as you want.

Also, does this plugin have any tracking features (e.g. download by this IP address etc)

Can this plugin protect individual file links? If I had a simple [Click Here] link on a page? Can the URL be hidden, unshareable and only for logged in users?

The Library option is too large for what we need.

Hi, how can I disable sorting ? I need to see my files order by upload.

The plugin’s front end uploader doesn’t work when you drag and drop the files into it. No error messages, it even says it uploaded successfully, but the file does not show up in the files viewer nor is in the upload folder.

When you use the button in the front-end uploader, it works as expected. Something in the drag-and-drop doesn’t work.

I tried with Chrome and Firefox (latest versions) in a Mac.

I’m working at ESAB Welding and Cutting on Brazil and I’m testing your plugin to a simple tool. In fact, it will be a complementary page, external of the “esab.com” website, to list some files to download.

I found a little improvements and I’d love to know your thoughts about it:

On the admin page “All Files” of the plugin, we can filter the files by the general filter at top right. But we cannot filter the results by the libraries created. It will be a very useful feature, to see only a few files.

Do it makes sense for you?

all the other pagination function works perfectly, and nothing shows up in the chrome console (all of the things are fully updated version-wise), but for ‘next page’ which does nothing when you click it regardless of where in the pagination process you are.

Is Filr reliant upon .htaccess files?

WP Engine have deprecated .htaccess and other hosts are likely to go the same way. I’m wondering if Filr will still work without them?

I would like to display several product PDFs (ex: smartphone, tablet, charger) in a single block.
What is the shortcode to display all PDFS? Can we create a filter?

File appears to upload via editor, the directory is created but documents are not displaying on the front-end, and files are not landing in the directory. Seeing this error in DevTools > Console:

Form contains a file input, but is missing method=POST and enctype=multipart/form-data on the form. The file will not be sent.

I try to upload a pdf file (32 KB only) to a library and everything seems to be ok no error or anything. also when I check the status in the plugin setting it doesn’t show any error.

But in the front end when I click download it failed. when I went to check the file in the location “../upload/filr/1518” I found that the folder is actually empty! which mean the file didn’t actually uploaded.

I don’t really know why, I try different type and size of files but getting the same result.

Note: I am working currently in a localhost if this is related.

Just installed this plugin for testing….

But as I use the tag for documenting code snippets in a blog with special formatting...I am unclear why those tags (2 of them) are wrapped around the file list...
