Hi, I installed FREE (Lite) version on new WordPress, installation was OK. But everytime when I want to create a new folder I saw error message “Ongeldige JSON body doorgegeven.” (Invalid JSON body passed.) and no new folder.

I still have PHP 8.0 – is that a problem?
Any ideas?

]]>Hello!!!
I am encountering an issue with FileBird. The plugin is not loading the folders correctly, and a message prompts me to create my first folder. However, the folders I previously created are still visible in the column headers of the list view, indicating they still exist. The problem is that the folder icons are not displayed in the left panel, as if none were created.
This is significantly affecting my workflow since I manage hundreds of posts and thousands of images through this plugin. I kindly request your prompt assistance to resolve this issue.
Best regards,
Dicrivero.

I have tried using ACF with no luck. Then I remembered I have filebird pro! is it possible to use or link filebird folders so they can be seen/selected in the elementor dynamic options? If not could this be added? Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this.

]]>Hi,
Ive noticed a conflict between the translation files bundled with Filebird (in the i18n folder) and the ones WordPress downloads. The WordPress translations seem to be more accurate, but the plugins files override them, leading to some translation issues. This affects Swedish translations of the plugin.
Thanks for your hard work on the plugin! Let me know if you need any more details from me.
]]>Sorry.
Im not good at English.
The problem has been occurring since I added the plugin FileBird.
When I display the list, there are no files.
Conversely, when displayed in tiles (thumbnail display), they are displayed correctly.
I tried disabling other plugins, but that didn’t help.
I want you to help me.

Hi,
We’re looking to migrate to Filebird. One issue we’re having is getting the Filebird folder taxonomy to show up in Admin Columns column settings. We see other media library plugin taxonomies showing up, but not Filebird’s. Is there something we need to do to “register” the Filebord folder taxonomy in a way for Admin Columns to detect it? The Filebird Pro features mention integrations, but we didn’t readily see Admin Columns on the list.
Thanks for any info you can pass along.
]]>The 6.3.2 update hides all admin notices, including WordPress’s notices. For example, when adding a new user, the user cannot see why they were unable to add a new user. It seems the notice saying “Usernames can only contain lowercase letters (a-z) and numbers.” was being hidden by Filebird. This is likely affecting all WordPress notices as well as other plugin’s notices. Can this be removed?

I am using it with Dokan-lite for a multivendor site. They create a form for products with the role vendor, where you can add a image that uses the Media Library. In that page, you don’t get the folders created with your plugin. Can you tell to me what should I do to be able to have the folders?
Thanks a lot and have a good day

I was having trouble with the filebird interface. Google Gemini tells me it’s cool to delete and then reinstall it because I already have the license. But I don’t see a Filebird Pro plugin and when in filebird lite settings, if i click on “go pro”, i have to pay for it again.

Hi
I have started receiving the following warnings in my WordPress admin site:
Deprecated: strpos(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($haystack) of type string is deprecated in /homepages/43/d870750008/htdocs/clickandbuilds/WordPress/SouthportU3A/wp-includes/functions.php on line 7291

These lines relate to functions called wp_is_stream and wp_normalize_path respectively. Are these Filebird functions?
I am running Filebird Pro v6.3.3 on WordPress v6.5.5.
Thanks for your help
]]>Hi FileBird Folks,
My organization is creating a new WordPress site using a pre-existing WP site as a model, which currently has FileBird installed with a complex folder structure. The new WP site will also have FileBird and use the same exact FileBird folder structure and Media Libary images, files, etc.
I know that preserving the FileBird folder structure is possible when moving from site to site using the Export CSV/Import CSV options, and my question to you is whether it’s also possible, if the Media Library files (essentially the entire /wp-content/uploads/ directory) are first manually ported over to the new site via FTP, for FileBird to automatically distribute the files into the same corresponding folders as the original site after the FileBird CSV import takes place on the new site. In other words, is there a way to automatically preserve/reinstate the entire FileBird setup (folders, images, and all) when going from one site to another?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Matthew Huntley
I am using the pro version of FileBird, but support has expired (a 6 months free support was included with the licence), so I guess I need to post here.
Recently auto-update won’t download the latest version of FileBird, is it because support has expired?
I don’t mind not having technical support any more, but if you block auto-update this is a different problem. When I bought FileBird Pro it said that I could get “future updates”, but now I can’t.
Could you please clarify for everyone your policy regarding the Pro version and future updates and auto-updates? (no one is expecting to be forced to manually download future updates after six month of usage)
If the issue is on my side, what should I do as support has… expired?
Thank you.
As visible in the screenshot. This CSS hides all admin notices, for example the update bar for plugins in the plugin view. Needs to be fixed asap.

]]>Hi FileBird Folks,
I am using PHP Version 8.2.15, WordPress Version 6.5.4, and FileBird Lite Version 6.2.5, and I wanted to alert you about a potential bug with the FileBird Lite plugin. The issue is the “Show breadcrumb” setting (available from WP Dashboard –> FileBird –> Settings) is not persisting between users.
Here are the steps to reproduce (please note these steps assume there are multiple users and FileBird Lite is installed on the site):
1) Log into WordPress using User 1 credentials –>
2) Navigate to WP Dashboard –> FileBird –> Settings –>
3) Check “Show breadcrumb” and click “Save Changes” –>
4) Log Out User 1 –>
5) Log into WordPress using User 2 credentials –>
6) Navigate to WP Dashboard –> FileBird –> Settings –>
RESULT: Notice the User 1 “Show breadcrumb” setting does not hold for User 2.
Could you please advise if this is intentional behavior or if it’s something that will be addressed in future versions?
Thanks very much, and please let me know if you need additional information.
Best regards,
Matthew Huntley
I have my images in a Firebird folder hierarchy which seems to be working OK. I am using the Photo Gallery plugin to create portfolios on my site. This was working fine with Firebird for a couple of weeks.
I deactivated Firebird whilst I tried a new Media folder plugin but I didnt like it and deleted it, then reactivated Firebird. The firebird hierarchy is intact and I can use it fine in Media. But when I try to add an image to a Photo Gallery album using Add Images or Import from Media Library I now only get the very top level of images in Media. I see a folder within that screen that is called imported_from_media_librarybut when I click on it I just get all my images in no folder structure at all!
Im wondering if I have accidentally deleted a plugin of some kind that Photo Gallery needs to help it run properly.
]]>Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with FileBird after changing the directory of my WordPress site. Here are the details:
Problem Description:
After changing the path from a test site to the live directory and updating the permalinks, all FileBird folders disappeared. Additionally, I cannot create new folders due to a cookie error alert. However, when I revert back to the original directory, the folders reappear, and I can create new folders without any issues.Steps I’ve Tried:
wp-config.php
.Despite these efforts, the issue persists. Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this?
Thank you for your assistance.
]]>When prepping a post and trying to upload a file (image, really) direct using the Featured Image upload functionality, we can no longer choose which folder to drop it into. The option remains Uncategorized. This is a new development, as of 6.2.4, although I may have missed a version or two in between.
To confirm, this is not a problem we previous had. Uploading a Featured Image from within the post allowed us to also choose the category to put the file into. Additionally, this ONLY seems to occur within the Featured Image upload action. Any other way of accessing or uploading media allows us to choose the categories as needed within FileBird.
So, the folders on the left don’t expand when clicking them, I spoke with someone from support, he told me to enable a PRO feature, I’m not pro, I am thinking the devs just made this a pro only feature, which is a total deal breaker for me, I left a bad review, dev is asking me to ask for support here to consider changing review, well, I won’t if this is really a pro only thing or is my plugin broken or glitched? I have already tried reinstalling plugin, no change
Screencast: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GQEkYgbSQwoRS1lkxRZKInWGjaO8BkJd/view?usp=sharing
I have already found an alternative plugin called CatFolders, which DOES show the drop downs on the left, folders DO expand, only problem i see is the “new folder” button is a pro only, which is no big deal as one can just upload an empty folder anyway, a workaround
EDIT: Nevermind, my bad, I was just clicking on the folder name and hadn’t realized it only expands when clicking the folder icon only, I’ll change my review
