I chose the option “Enable separate folders for each user”. But when a user uploads its files, all the files are uploaded into the public folder. In the permissions settings i gave every user his specific folder path. But it’s still not working. Thank you for your help.

I would like to point out that with version 6.4.0 everything worked correctly with the same settings.

Just installed the Bit File manager and also using Ultimate Member Pugin for user registration and management, so question is how can i display File Upload Download Edit option on front end for the logged in users only.
Do you have any parameters for the file-manager shortcode. If yes, what are they? If not, could you please consider implementing a folder parameter that would be relative to the configured root path and would limit the file displays to that path.

Workaround: After completing step 2 above, edit the link. Link contains …. “https://websitename.org/wp-admin/………”. Delete everything after “wp-” and replace with the path to PDF file. Save the edited link. Update the page. Go to frontend. Testing as in step 3 above: The edited link works properly – it downloads the PDF file, no errors.
QUESTION: In Bit File Manager, why does the LINK provided in the FILE INFO window NOT contain the path to the file? Is this a bug?

I use bit file manager in my homepage for registred users to upload .zip archives in the frontend. Rightclick -> information on an uploaded file gives a menu where I can see the path and below click on a link.
Now the problem: In the backend everything is fine, I get a working link. But in the frontend the <internal> path is added up in a way that the link doesn’t work anymore. Example:
path: WP root/VOT/Hardware_MTU1_2023
link: https://XXX.de/upload/usr/www/users/bktjst/VOT/Hardware_MTU1_2023
working link would be: https://XXX.de/VOT/Hardware_MTU1_2023
Has anyone an idea where my configuration is wrong?

I have two ideas for improvement.
First, I think it’s a bit of a pity there is a box prominently displayed to the right of the file/folder window “You can contribute on Github etc”.
This makes the width for the file/folder window very limited and you have to resize it every time.
Further, I see that elFinder offers several themes, but unfortunately they are not available for selection here. Would be great if you could use these as well.

Hi folks, as per the title:
“Email to” and “Change mode” seem to have gone missing, and trying to edit a file (regardless of which editor is chosen) gives nothing but a blank text field.
I’ve rolled back to the previous release for the time being but would appreciate confirmation of whether or not the removal of the email and permissions functionality is deliberate and any pointers re the editing issue (no errors being logged as far as I can see).

I have had to add another user and role to my site and when I go and add the role permissions and user Permissions, it does not save them and now all the other permissions that were set do not work.
I have deactivated the plugins to see if there was a conflict but seem to make no. difference.
I need your assistance with resolving this as soon as possible as The user needs to access this from tomorrow.

]]>I’m working with the free version of the WP File Manager. We have it installed in a multisite configuration in our intranet.
I’ve verified that I have the php settings for the server set (as follows):
memory_limit=256M
upload_max_filesize=512M
post_max_size=256M
I’ve verified that the free version of the plugin appears to have the max file size set at 200Mb.
However, when I try to upload a file (.pdf) that is 1.2Mb in size, I’m getting the “Entity Too Large” error.
Is there another place I need to look regarding settings to allow this to work?

]]>After my provider changed some path on my hosting account I needed to change the path of the download rooth folder.
Going to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=file-manager-permission-system I changed it and clicked “save” resulting in the following error:
