I’ve been using this plugin for a year or so now, with a custom search to show only the items I retweet from a specific Twitter account. It has been working great, until at least 2 days ago, but I’ve just logged in, and the dashboard is saying “Status Not authenticated”
I have disconnected and reconnected my Twitter account, and provided API key details, but neither method is reconnecting my account. Unsure where to go next!

Hi, by default this $aTweet[‘_media’] contains the whole HTML to display the Media element. However, I just want to get the image URL, so that I can customize my HTML for media element too.

When I first installed fetch tweets a month or 2 ago, it showed the configured latest 2 tweets. Now it only shows the latest one tweet (no change in my config). Can you suggest any fix or workaround?

One of my friends asked me how could she put SSL on fetch-tweets.

We are facing the issue that tweets are not updating for weeks and only disconnecting and connecting again, shows up the latest Tweets. We did this the last time 5 days ago. Under Cache > Settings we set the cache rate to 1 day and also already tried flushing W3 Total Cache.

Do you have any other suggestion?

I’m using FetchTweets and it is basically working fine but there is a frustrating issue:
In the display of the tweets, the line jumps before and after the links are ignored resulting in an ugly display of the tweets having links.
You can see this in each tweet having a link in this page:

In the twitter timeline, the tweets are correctly rendered (with the line jumps before and after the links)
Using the browser developer tools, if I set
display: block;
to the link element, it solves the issue.
I tried to set this css property using the style.css of the template but it does not work.
If I look at the page source code in the source displayed by the Chrome dev tool, I see these link have the classes: link customisable
But If I look a the source of the page (right-click / View source) there is no mention of these classes. They are probably generated dynamically by tweeter.
Any suggestion how I could solve the issue and add the inline-block css attribute to these links? (or any other solution?).

Tweets that I try to fetch contains embedded content, like Youtube thumbs.

But when I create a query, just only text are displayed, no embedded content.
I’m using Hueman free theme.
Any suggestion?

Since 2 weeks ago, the structure of my webpage crush, and I had to desactivate Fetch Tweets. When I try to activate again it’s appear:

I experience a problem when I upgrade the plugin from 2.4.9 to 2.6.x. Instead of the list of tweets I get this fatal PHP error.

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method FetchTweets_Output_Tweet::___getArguments_() in /home/USERNAME/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fetch-tweets/include/class/output/tweet/FetchTweets_Output_Tweet.php on line 210

For now I replaced the wp-content/plugins/fetch-tweets/ version with the 2.4.9 version and that make it re-apear.

Could you help me resolve this?

I have tweets from 1 twitter account being fetched.
Item count in rule is set to 4 but only 3 are returned.
I’ve tried increasing the count to 10 but when I do only 7 tweets are returned.

This happens with both the default templates (plain and debug) and my custom template.

Replies and re-tweets are both excluded.
Cache is at default (1200).

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to display each individual Tweet in it’s own post. So that when a new Tweet is detected, it creates a new post automatically and adds it to the blog? At the minute, all of the Tweets are showing on the same Post page.

Is it possible to get the twit IDs with a PHP function to display them with the shortcode of the official twitter plugin [tweet id = ‘xxxxx’]?

I just upgraded a site where I am using Fetch Tweets to the latest version. When I checked the output, I realized that all items are displaying as having been posted 47 years ago.

I’m having an issue where tweets that are more than 114 characters long that have an image attached to them are getting cut off. The images are not displaying and a link to view the tweet on twitter’s website is being displayed instead.

Our images on tweets are not showing up on our Fetch Tweets widget. They were working fine up until a few days ago. We haven’t changed how we add images to our tweets. The page affected is https://cfsec2017.fightbac.org/. I checked the settings for the widget and it does indicate that we want images to display. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

After migrating to a new server, the plugin doesn’t work anymore. Website crashes and none page is rendered.
Only a blank page with this php error message:
“Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 200 seconds exceeded in /srv/users/USERNAME/apps/previdalfrance/public/wp-content/plugins/fetch-tweets/include/class/option/FetchTweets_Option_Format.php on line 207”.
I use it for years and I wouldn’t change.

I have my overall ‘fetch’ set to 10 and individual ‘item counts’ set to 2 for each of my screen names – all set in the ‘Manage rules’ section of the admin.

I’m using a widget to display the tweets. This is set to maximum number displayed of 10.

My problem is that one particular screen name (who does a lot of tweets) is displaying most of the tweets in my widget. At the moment 8 out of 10 of the tweets are by this screen name. (yet it it set to only display 2).

When I deselect this screen name from my widget, the widget area on the website is filled by the other screen names.

How do I limit the screen names to just 2 each – of the 10 I want to display ?

Love your plugin i have been trying for weeks to hide images showing in twitter feed now twitter force them to show. But I have website non wordpress built that i use the provided standard twitter JS for and really want to hide images.

Can i pay you to provide the css that would apply to the standard twitter widget JS that would hide images in feed?

I’m having trouble with my twitter feed not updating. I read the prior post on this subject and it looks like my WPCron is not working properly so I changed the cache mode to intense as previously suggested however this did not resolve the problem. Any other suggestions?

I have a WordPress installation that is rapidly growing with over 10k+ posts. Fetch Tweets is loaded once on every single post to retrieve tweets based on the post title. Then it caches the page completely for future visitors. Now when I activate the plugin, the website was fast on both backend and frontend. But over time, the site slows down even though it is on an high-end server. Just loading the plugin overview page, takes 5+ seconds where it would load instantly otherwise.

When I deactivate and reactivate the Fetch Tweets plugin, all works really fast. But then over time (days) it slows down slowly again. This happens with both the WP cron and Intense caching methods of the plugin.

I understand this is hard to troubleshoot, but is it possible for you to give me some pointers on where to start?

Hi,

I display the shortcode like [fetch_tweets id=”250″] in each post and all that comes out is “No result could be fetched.” I have used this plugin in the past and I never had any issues. I only setup the Twitter profile a few days ago. I’m not sure if that could be the issue. It does say that it is Authenticated anyway. Any ideas? Thanks, Ryan.

thanks for the plugin. recently i just noticed that the twitter media doesnt get displayed on my website…it just shows the link with twitter media..neither the user profile images are getting displayed…any way to fix this or debug this?
