The plugin is great (paid version). All the customizability needed, and very simple and easy to use. There’s always going to be conflicts with special themes or other plugins, and these were quickly hashed out and easily fixed with the plugin’s great support, thanks to Marcel.
All my boring image thumbnails are now autotplay MP4 videos, and this is a game changer for my business as a VFX Studio. If I could give this plugin a better rating I would.

Using the Premium version. No problem with getting it to work, easy to use. A minor issue with the FIFU alt tags not working correctly, but the response from Marcel was first rate and the issue was quickly resolved.

Using the premium version on my book logging/review site to grab book cover images from amazon page URLs I was already inputting to create an affiliate purchase link. It was a bit bumpy at first, but the plugin author was extremely attentive and helped me over the course of several days to get things working exactly as I’d hoped! highly recommend if you need an easy and quick way to grab an image from an external URL.

In the Auto set featured media from post content section, I activated this option: use the found image/video as featured image/video, and I set the post types option to product, and the plugin works correctly, but after 1 hour, the images are not displayed again, and the option I hit update all your posts now to fix it, but still the images are not displayed again after 1 hour. Is there a solution for this?

I purchased the plugin for the ability to play local hosted mp4 videos as the featured product image. FIFU is a real life saver, especially if you work with a ton of products and can’t host every image locally. It works flawlessly out of the box (with documentation info and compatibility for other plugins such as WP All Import) and it’s crafted to pure perfection. I’ve been waiting for a plugin that pulls and displays a video thumbnail as the featured image for my video-oriented posts for years.
(My theme does not support a blog video post format.)
FIFU grabs the thumbnail of the youtube video and posts it automatically as the featured image. Perfect.
We’ve worked with the developers to iron out how posts that are not video posts but contain a video are handled. They’ve been responsive and addressed our issues right away.

This plugin is such a fantastic solution for websites with many images that would otherwise overload the server. I’m so happy that I found it! It works flawlessly, and the issues I had when trying to connect with files on Dropbox were fixed within hours. I am also impressed with the willingness of the developers to make it easy for the user to succeed in having a fast-loading website at a low cost. They provide a CDN solution for free, and are not trying to push you to the cloud hosting alternative they also provide, which is actually very reasonable and will be my choice at the right time. I have bought the pro plugin and warmly recommend it to anyone, especially if you have many images.
