Hello. I have used this plugin for over a year now and had no problems, but just upgraded to most recent version of WP with most recent version of plugin, and it doesn’t appear to be pushing through to Facebook or Twitter anymore.
When I click to update or publish my post, the status updater plugin just stays open and checked to push to social networks, but doesn’t actually do it or minimise anymore.
]]>Activated the plugin but still now showing in edit or new post.
]]>Eventually the plugin updates Facebook with the same photo in all the news, I spend this to someone? Since it is solved? Has it to see in Slightly super Cache? Please Urgent!
]]>Hi there,
I have the latest Postie Plugin (1.4.3) and Status Updater Plugin (1.9.2) installed on my wordpress blog.
Bascially, when I use postie to create a post via email it doesn’t get updated on my facebook/twitter by Status Updater.
However, when I create an article online, it seems to update fine on the social networks.
How do I fix it?
Ideally I would like to publish a post via email, and then I would like it to be published on facebook/twitter.
Thank you for your help.
]]>Is there any way to hide this plugin from lower level roles? I want only admin and editors to have access to it, but atm it shows up to authors as well.
If anyone knows how to customize this within the plugin, I’d certainly appreciate the help.
We only want to push certain posts to our FB status and twitter, so is it possible to have the default setting “NO” for the option:
Push this post to Social Networks?
This would simply save us from always needing to click ‘no’ when creating new posts.
Overall, the plugin works like a charm. Thanks!

]]>Works fine for posts but not for pages and custom post types unfortunately. tried fixing it myself but with no luck. Searching for an alternative solution. Bummer.
]]>Hi,
First of all – great plugin!
Secondly – I’d like to alter the information that’s posted on Facebook – for instance at the top of each post on the page, it shows the blog description? Is it possible to remove this – I’ve tried to find where this is controlled by editing the plugin but haven’t had much luck.
Also it says its posted “via …” – ie the name of the empty app you have to set up – is it possible to hide this also as the app is just a blank one for the purpose of working the plugin?
Thanks, Paul
]]>Ok, I am not sure if Status Updater and FB Status Updater are the same plugin or not but I am brought to this forum when I click on Status Updater’s Forum.
Status are posted to FB and and Twitter fine.
However, I found that the FB Title (of the blog) is ommited if I use the character &.
& and another after that does not appear on the title.
Any idea of any fix?
Thanks!
]]>The settings won’t save in the tools/status updater settings.
I also tried contacting the developer through their website and they have no contact form.
The comments section on his blog where he posts information about the plugin also seems to be broken. You cannot post a comment.
I tried contacting him on twitter and letting him know that his comments form is broken.
It’s a shame that this plugin does not seem to work, and even more so that he doesn’t seem to be maintaining it.
]]>Love the plugin, but when I create a new post via the iOS app, my fb and twitter statuses are not updated, they only are when I create a post via wp-admin. How do I make it such that posts from the iOS app update my status?

]]>It took a bit of work but I got it working. IF I didnt have the setting for “Advanced status composition” checked off it didnt post to twitter. But one I checked it off the box appears in the Add Post screen. VERY COOL!
Is there any way to get this to work with Custom Post Types? BTW. I got this working with WP3.1.1
Thanks
]]>El plugin dejó de funcionar en Twitter y Facebook.
Parece que la versión 3.1 de WordPress trae grandes cambios porque otras funcionalidades y plugins dejaron de funcionar cuando actualicé a esta versión.
We are in WP 3.1… where are the FB settings? All I can see it a setting for posts/pages/both

Hi,
I’m using this great plugin for my blog, to publish its post to my facebook fan page. everything works fine, just one thing is missing:
when the plugin posts a new blog entry to the facebook page (push as link), there is no sharig options on it, only like and comment. How can I add a share option?
Thanks!
It did for once, but after i try on other site, the FB dosnt show pages, only my own fb. Anyone face that ?
]]>Hey there,
Thank you for updating this plugin to work with the new twitter and fb API’s.
I had been using a modified version of this plugin to update successfully for quite a while, and I’d like to ask for a few things based on my experience.
1) Please reinstate the ability to choose in the per-post options whether you post as a link or status on fb. The old method of allowing/disallowing global variables and fine tuning per post was much preferable to the all or nothing UI in the new version.
2) Please allow for the user to choose per post which profiles and fan pages the status or links are pushed to. I do not want every post I push to FB from my main blog to go to all 5 fan pages I am an admin of, but I would like the ability to update them all depending on the content of my blog post and the relevance to a particular page.
3) Please remove the URL requirement – The plugin will work without forcing the url to be included in things like status messages, which for a long time made every post pushed via status update automatically show up as a link on fb rather than a status, which is why I sought out a fix in the first place.
Additionally, as someone who stores their status messages as posts in wordpress (I scrub my facebook profile periodically), it would be really nice to be able to use the body of my post as my status, rather than only the title.
Many thanks for resurfacing and working on this plugin again.
]]>Status Updater was once a great plugin, but those days are over. Can anyone recommend a replacement plugin? I’m currently using a cocktail of Twitter Tools and the Twitter’s Facebook app to push twitter posts to a Facebook Page.
This solution is imperfect, mainly because Facebook doesn’t pull an image from the post, as that one little thumbnail can double the hits to a link.
]]>APIs have changed… is anyone updating this?
]]>Hello,
I love this plugin but, editor role profiles have to meta box (that advanced status updater boxes) in add/edit post pages. Only admin has. I have to add this to editor role too for my client to use it. Please help.
Thanks.

I get the error
]]>Fatal error: Cannot redeclare getmicrotime() in /home.old/roohitco_radio/wp-content/plugins/fb-status-updater/inc-fb-status-functions.php on line 2
This was an awesome plugin. I hope the dev can sort the Twitter issue. Also, FB fan pages do work…FB made a change to their URL structure. To fix it, go to your fan page, copy the URL and paste into the plugin settings. Worked for me.
]]>Hey, I recently installed the plugin with no problems, love it. However for some reason over the past couple of days the updates no longer push to Twitter. As recently as Wednesday they were. I have the plugin installed on three different WP blogs and all three are only updating FB, not twitter. It had been working without error. The log email tells me ‘the status ___ has been published to twitter’.
Anybody else having this problem? Is it a Twitter issue? What else can I troubleshoot?
Thanks
