Account Kit is being deprecated:
On September 9, 2019, no new apps will be able to integrate Account Kit, but existing integrations will continue to function.
On December 9, 2019, the daily SMS limit will be reduced to 1,000 messages per app ID per day. All other channels (including WhatsApp) will continue to function without restrictions.
On March 9, 2020, Account Kit will be deprecated and will no longer function.
You will be able to retrieve your app’s user data for 90 after deprecation, through June 9, 2020. See Retrieving Your User Data.
For more information, see Account Kit services no longer available starting in March.

it should be for new customers/guest customers (it will help to not get test or fake orders)

I have configured the plugin. I am receiving the OTP over sms and whatsapp both. When I enter the same to login/register, it is being authenticated but later redirected to the wp-login page that says you’re not a registered user of the website. the function is not working. In my fb developer tool, my account kit api version is v1.1
then when i click the button “Log in with sms” or “login with email”, it say a system issue occur, pls try again. But i can see that the url link is stated v1.3
Then i try another facebook account to recreate the same thing, still cannot work.
But magically, i put there for few mins, it can work.
it seems not stable. Pls help me. Thanks in advance.

I am one of the early adopter of this plugin; having updated the plugin to the latest version I realised the New User Registration function for SMS is no longer working well.
Previously, whenever the user login with the new mobile number, the plugin will recognise it and create a new user. However, I noticed the latest version will simply show a message “You are not a registered user of this website” without creating the new user for the site. Is there any changes in the functionality recently? FYI, I have switched off most of the other plugins to ensure it is not compatibility issue (login and registration functions are WordPress built-in)

Such a great plugin and come with the function for existing user to set up SMS Login by using short code – [fbak-account-kit-associate]. However, I noticed that the function does not work well even I have already updated to the latest version.
For my case, the plugin somehow ignores the fact that the mobile number (say, 12345) has been tagged/associated to an existing accounts (say, Account A).
Instead, a new account (Account B) will be created when I login with this mobile number. Strangely, the plugin is able to recognise this number 12345 for the subsequent login to the new account Account B.
Have you encountered similar issue?

I have installed WordPress on “website.com/directory” so when the user register using sms so Plugin is assigning “[email protected]” as email to the person. I want it to assign “[email protected]”.. so if there is an option for this…then it will be too helpful…

I want to achieve user registration by sms only from the shortcode page. This should also override SMS Login settings tab. User registration is disable on SMS Login settings tab.
