Works with wordpress 5.3 and does what it is supposed to, but seems to be unmaintained. Needs some custom styling to look good, and some filters or options to choose what you want to show would be good as well (disable social media links etc).
Also, it doesn’t insert web semantics, which makes the author box look odd in Reader mode.

It pains me that such a great looking plugin cant have one simple, fundamental feature which is to allow the user to place it wherever he wishes easily, using a shortcode. This is the one thing that deters me from using it. I will gladly award 5 stars once this feature comes through.

Easy to set up and customize! My only suggestion is to have the social media links open in a new tab. I saw the thread advising how to do this through code, but I’m hesitant to change anything around for fear it’ll screw up the rest. Other than that, couldn’t be happier!

Very simple and easy! Looks great! Definitely going to upgrade to the Pro version! The only thing I would suggest is adding target=”_blank” to all the social media links so they open in a new tab. It was easy for me to go in and add the code, but not everyone knows how or are afraid to tweaking php files ??

The author box is exactly what I was looking for. Looks great, allows space for description and links to twitter/facebook pages. It also shares easily accessible links to the authors recent posts.
My theme (buddypress default) interfered with the display of the profile photo and after posting a support discussion to the developer, they quickly replied offering solutions to try.

I spent days lokkingo for a plugins which could display authors FOR CUSTOM TYPE POSTS!
There are plenty of plugins to shows authors, many of them promise to show aothors of custom type posts, but just only this plugin do what the plugin promises!

This was exactly what I was looking for. I had to go into the ts-fab-construct-tabs.php file and change the youtube url to channel instead of username though. That took a few minutes, but I believe this is one of the best plugins on the site!

I love the Fanciest Author Box plugin! I used the Fancier Author Box plugin with my old website and that was great too. Jeremy Shoemaker recommends the Fanciest Author box and his recommendations are always honest and credible so I tried it.
I will admit, I struggle with technology, and I had problems with the file but I e-mailed Slobodan and he promptly responded to help me understand my error. I followed his advice (with a little help from my husband) and the plugin works great!
I highly recommend the Fanciest Author Box to everyone!
