]]>Running a recipe book and using this plugin to sort and show results when someone chooses multiple tags (gluten free, lunch, dairy free, etc).
The list is showing duplicate tags (lunch, for instance). Tag ‘lunch’ only exists once in the database, but this plugin shows it four times.
I have tried multiple solutions, including uninstalling and reinstalling plugin, excluding duplicated tags, etc.

Hi, I wanted to combine a category search and a tag search together.
is this possible?
perhaps a modified search button, that somehow can recognize the tags selected and the categories selected from the two separate widgets?
or perhaps a single widget with one column for categories and one column for tags?
]]>I am having some difficulty with the Faceted Search Plugin, mainly that the excluding categories aren’t working.
Is there a bit of code that you could suggest for me to add to the php of the plugin to exclude 2 of the categories (namely the blog category, which is category_id= 1 and the homepage category which is category_id=397).
Any help with this would be great. As I have tried to input the PHP that I think should disable those 2 categories from the system, but it doesn’t seem to work.
They are both Parent Categories. But the other categories below them aren’t needed, as the categories I want to search are under their own parent categories (if that makes sense?).

How can I remove the grey buttons in front of the parent and child categories?
And how can I add some space between the parent and child categories? Something ike a blank line.

I want to put the widget onto a page, not a sidebar, and I want to have the categories and corresponding checkboxes arranged into multiple columns to avoid any “wasted space” across the page (horizontally).

]]>Great plugin! But I am having a problem. My number Pagination Style is not working. I am getting page(s) not found when selecting page 2, 3, etc. Only working with Next / Previous. I am using woothemes Canvas theme. I have the theme settings set to Blog pages show at most 10 and I have the Faceted Search Category Widget set to Expanded, Inclusive and Request Method set to Get. This is only happening with the Faceted-Search post listing. Other post display are working with Number Pagination.
Any suggestions on what is going wrong?

I have a problem when activating the plugin:
in the widgets admin page the last template module (named footer in my template) is not opening anymore. As a consequence I can’t drag any widget there nor edit the widgets inside it.
Enabling accessibility mode doesn’t solve the issue. I tried with various browsers.
The only solution for editing the module is to temporarily deactivate faceted search plugin.

So I am making a site using a child theme of thematic. I was able to customize the output of my search results by using “the_post_thumbnail();” in the function “childtheme_override_search_loop()” of my functions.php. In addition to using faceted search I am also using a plugin to rank posts.
Everything works if I select a checkbox and run the search.
The problem is if I select nothing I am taken to the “We could not find any results” page which includes a search bar. If I put nothing in the text field and just hit search I am taken to a page similar to the search results field but with obvious errors (mainly not displaying post thumbnail). I am having trouble finding which page is being called here.
If its any help thematic is giving the correct search results page the class of “search” and the incorrect search results page the class of “blog”.

This may be what I’m looking for as I rebuild my whisky site using WordPress for the first time. I have more than 700 tasting notes and scores for various whiskies that exist on the current site in HTML. I’d like to make them searchable on the new WP site, but need to figure out a front-end to handle the search.
If I set up each tasting note with tags in a Custom Post, would it be possible to use Faceted Search to parse just those custom posts and return results for a specific region, type, distillery, score, etc.?

I just found this plugin and looks perfect for what I need. I have created a custom theme and used the search.php code in my new search.php within my theme.
I added this code where I want my checkbox list of categories:

?>The categories show and there are posts in each category. However when I click on the checkbox next to the categories I want to see and click search I get the following:-

No posts! Any ideas? Should it not search the category name e.e. highways
