]]>Hi,
I like this plugin. It is one of the few that is valid html. ?? Thanks!
I have 2 css questions though.
I use the widget and have enabled “show faces”.
The font of the number of members I get then is really dark. Where can i change that? This plugin has no css. I saw in the page source that there is a class called “u_3_0”. I tried to add that with the right color to my theme’s css, but that didn’t help. So where can I change the color?
My second question is: the FB box has a white border. I want to get rid of that. Where do I do that?
My site is here: https://www.tina-turner.nl/blog/
Good day, great plug-in BTW. I’m having some newbie issue here. I’ve got a facebook page, but it seems difficult to find where will I input it.
The facebook like button is there and displaying correctly but yeah, how would I configure it to be my facebook page? thanks!
]]>Hi all
I’m not saying that this issue has something to do with this Facebook plugin and I also realise, that it hasn’t been updated in over a year.
Interestingly I cannot replicate the issue myself and only one of my peers seems to have the issue on his laptop. Basically when going to the site, a random ajax style popup (darkened background) comes up and asks you a question, that is related to the sites’ content as well as gives the options to ‘accept’ or ‘cancel’. The site is in a constant loading loop and the url that is shown at the bottom left in the browser is “static.ak.fbcdn (dot )net“, which appears to be either some Facebook related thing or some malware, which am not hoping for… However, none of my WP security plugins and related is showing an error that could be linked to this issue.
I certainly didn’t put the popup there and out of 5 people (including myself), this only happens on one machine.
Has anyone experienced something similar? There’s certainly some talk on the web about it.
Many thanks!!

WHY???????????????
]]>Any plans to add a Tweet button too? That would be nice!
Then it would cover the three most important social shares.
]]>Very nice plugin but I have one (or two) issue with the G+ button:
When I enable the Google Plus button it causes the text line that is below the button (the first line of the actual post) to be cut short.
It is as if the G+ button took up space far below the actual button.
You can see what I mean in this illustration:
https://www.bkwinetours.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Google-plus-button.jpg
On top is how the first text line looks without the G+ button.
Below is how it looks with the G+ button enabled.
This is not good. It is particularly bad if there is a picture at the beginning of the post, e.g. a right adjusted thumbnail, then it causes the whole image to be pushed to the left.
I have tried to fix it by adding space below the button with the plugin’s “margin” function but it doesn’t work. Even if I add a lot of margin below the buttons the issue remains.
This issue makes it impossible for me to use the G+ button.
Any way to fix it?
Second (minor) thing: The G+ button is too big. The best option would be to make it a user choice how big the button would be, or simply to make it smaller.
]]>Sorry, this was a mistake.
]]>When I like a site on facebook, There is not I like to find on my facebook page. But the website tells me that I like this website.
That is nut useful
Ant, wow I cannot unlike it.
]]>Hi. I’m testing your plugin and it’s working on Spanish in Firefox and in English in Chrome and Explorer.
I need it to be in Spanish in all of them.
Thanks!
]]>I was just curious if this social media plugin was built to increase page rendering time by deferring the loading of the javascript needed for the social media buttons. For an example check out the new version of the Google +1 button which allows you to place the java script in the footer
]]>Hello
when I use the button to share a post or the website, it add the simbol << at the blog title, and I cannot remove it.
i.e.:
Blog title is : This is My Website
Sharing in facebook : << This is My Website
I saw that the problem is this:
<meta property=”og:title” content=” « This is My Website”/>
is it possible to remove « from og:title ??

]]>Hello. Regarding bigrockinvestments.com, I have this plugin for the Like box in my sidebar. However, I also have the AddThis widget for my main post/page social media sharing options.
It turns out that when someone shares a post/page on Facebook, I’m getting double <og> tags which is messing it up.
Is there a way I can turn off the <og> tags without interrupting use of the Like box?
]]>When I use the button to share a post on a blog it appends the blog title, and I’m not sure how to remove this.
i.e.:
Blog title is : My favourite recipes
Post title is : Tomato Soup
Sharing title (that appears on FB) will display as Tomato soup My favourite recipes
I would like it to just say Tomato Soup. Any suggestions?

How do I change the height of the widget? I tried changing the lines 479 & 480 in the facebook-likes-you.php file but that did not do anything…

Hey!
When pressing the Like-button, it turns into a textarea where I can input text to show on my profile. I would like to disable this from happening, is there any way to do so from the plugin?
I would only like to press the like-button and then have it increase by 1.
]]>For some reason the language of my Like and Share buttons changed to Polish when I upgraded to version 1.5.2 of this plugin. When I rolled back to 1.5.1 they switched back to English. ??

]]>Hi, I love this plugin. The only problem is that Like Button on my home page is not working correctly. It doesn’t display the actual count. Right now it has “0” likes, but I know that there should be at least “1” like (mine)
Could somebody please have a look at my page? Senior Care Community
]]>Hello,
I love the plug-in.
I have a different situation. I am not using the featured thumbnail because my thumbnails are not in media. I am using custom variable to give the path to the story. Actually my post is created automatically by our image archive system.
Is there a way to get the thumbnail displayed still when the user ‘Like’s the post?
Thanks,
Laurent
Hello, I need to change the language of this plugin, how do I do that?
I tried to change this line:
$locale = defined(WPLANG) ? WPLANG : 'us_US';
to this:
$locale = defined(WPLANG) ? WPLANG : 'es_ES';
But that didn’t work.
Thank you for your help. Regards.
Is it possible to change the text colour for the stream the widget displays in the sidebar of a blog? We haver a dark background and the current FB stream default text colour is black and doesn’t show up in the widget.
The Like button, below posts is fine though, only the tream the widget displays in the sidebar is unreadable
Thanks
]]>In the widget settings(but not the main settings) it asks for a facebook page url? I thought Facebook likes go to the fb profile of who ever clicks the like button? Why does it need a fb url?
And what if the widget is not used? …confused.
I’ve tried adding the open graph method to the functions as shared on WPBeginner (https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-facebook-open-graph-meta-data-in-wordpress-themes/), but it still displays the wrong thumbnail.
Any other solution you could recommend?
P.S.: Experiencing it here WedInk Tattle
]]>As per the title- when I click the like button on WordPress, it likes ALL of the posts within my site, rather than that individual post.
Also, rather than the link (that appears in the Facebook newsfeed) linking to the root of the domain (as I’d expect), it links to one POST in particular, and I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s going on.
Any ideas?
I’ve inserted this code directly into these template(s):
index.php
single.php
<?php echo do_shortcode('[fb-like-button]'); ?>
I’m getting this message in admin
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/psoch/domains/sproject.name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/facebook-likes-you/facebook-likes-you.php on line 183
But the plugin seems to run as usual
