I have noticed that to get groups to update the RSS feed, I have to go into the settings and hit save as if I had just added the feed. Is there something I can call on from CRON to trigger this automatically?
]]>I know this plugin has lost activity and support, however it’s the only plugin of it’s type and nearly works perfectly for what I’m wanting it to do!
I have a couple, what seems to be simple, objectives:
1. Thumbnail Images. What line of code needs to be added to bring thumbnail imagery into each post?
2. Avatar removal. What code needs to be edited to remove the default avatars from post feeds?
Thank you! Fingers crossed.

Hi there,
Is there a fork of this plugin available that actually works without loading all the feeds all over again every intervall? The latest github version I could find (1.6 – https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/external-group-blogs) still has this issue. This is an awesome plugin to aggregate information from different sources on a group page. I really would like this to work somehow. Is someone able to fix this?
Thanks!
]]>I’m getting PHP warnings and the plugin is posting duplicate posts. It’s been over 2 years since any update or response on the support page so it must be dead.
It’s a shame too. It’s the only plugin i could find that provides this function. That surprised me because I would think many more people would want this functionality.
]]>Hi – this plugin is pretty cool when setting up new groups with WP 3.9.2 and BuddyPress 2.0.2 … however with existing groups, there is no options in the group admin area that appear thus no way to add external rss to existing groups … ugh … otherwise with new groups = cool! … maybe this can be fixed in future ..??.. cordially, chuck scott
ps – once the new group is created with rss feed, there is no edit options when updating group admin … thus once a feed is added, no way to add others, delete, edit, etc …

This is a terrific plugin –
I wondered if there is any way to stagger the updates when posted into the BuddyPress activity stream?
I’ve merged a number of RSS feeds using the plugin but finding that when the updates take place in the activity stream the stream is dominated by just one BuddyPress Group activity – I need to scroll down to see other group activities.
The other way of dealing with this is to keep the plugin updates contained in the group itself and so that there is no update in the main activity stream…
Please help if you can
Thanks
]]>Hi. I’m customizing your handy plugin and I want to re-arrange how the Activity title is rendered, yet I don’t understand how it works. It currently reads: “Blog: %s from %s in the group %s” on line 224 of /includes/bp-groups-externalblogs.php.
How does the server know when to hand the browser what? Is the sequence of the three “%s” thingies defined elsewhere? Currently it’s: Title, Blog, Group. I’m looking to rearrange it to: Blog, Title, Group.
Desired Output example:
The Daily Llama: MONSANTO EMERGES AS SUSPECT ON WACO PLANT DRONE STRIKE on the News[IMAGE] Channel
Thanks for the plugin and in advance for any help
]]>To test out the plugin I have added the RSS of my blog on a subdirectory. All of the posts in the blog were added to the group’s stream.
Why might that happen?
]]>Hi.
I made a extension plugin, which adds a tab for the feeds created by your plugin.
If you like the idea, you can download it from

Thanks in advance
Lena
I was wondering if there was a way to post the full RSS post to my Buddypress group instead of an excerpt.
Also, I would like to have it not strip the basic formatting from the post.

Kind of getting desperate for a functional RSS importer. Any feedback is appreciated!

]]>Hi, as a newbee, I added a first RSS feed in one of my groups and this seems to work fine, except that it’s continiously adding the same feed over and over again. Anyone any idea why this could be ? The feed I added is :

Basically I am trying / wanting to purchase your plugins via Tap Tap Press and find a fatal error message on the checkout page.
Is there any other way I purchase these plugins from you?
Many thanks,
Steve.

]]>Hi,
I’m using BP External Group Blogs plugin, and it’s excellent, but I have a problem, I can’t import two or more external blogs, in the same group. In the instructions, it said that you have to use commas for multi import, but it doesn’t work…
The site is mercatech.cl/proyect
And also, how can I configure the plugin, because I need that the blogs imported would updated more often.
Many thanks,

Any ideas? Thanks
