I need to open up access to this plugin to those who are not admins. I’m using the WPFront Roles plugin, but I suspect your plugin isn’t registering in a way Roles finds all the rest.
]]>Not sure why but it only exports 140 users when i have over 2000. Any idea why this might be?
I’ve set the date range to maximum and all user roles, still the same issue. Thanks
]]>the instructions indicate that the Export option will be added to the user sub-menu.
However, after installing and activating, there is no such option.

]]>I’m trying to export passwords too. Was able to, but it exported encrypted in MD5. I need the actual passwords. We uploaded users from an old system and it created the passwords but the system wasn’t fully set up yet and the users didn’t get the emails. Owners want to email everyone separately instead of pointing everyone to the lost password screen.
]]>I’ve installed plugin and activated it per instructions. I don’t see an option to export users under Tools–>Export. There is a “export user” link on the users admin page but but it just links back to Tools–>Export.
I am running a VERY OLD version of WordPress (WordPress 3.2.1.) We’re in the process of updating site and we want to move users to another installation of wordpress.
Thank you!

Hi there,
I only get weird symbols when i export users. Any ideas?
]]>Hey,
So we are importing users from an old database to a new database we where wondering if the old database would completely replace the new database or just add users that where not there previously.
We need to know because our new site has since added new users while our old site has a few users that we are missing from the new site
]]>Hey There, great plugin thus far shooter.
I am however wondering if it’s possible to export the actual Usernames as opposed to a random ID number?
If this is possible let me know, or if i’m missing a setting or something.
Thanks
]]>Hi there,
I’ve installed the plug in, selected ‘users’ on the export page, selected the role and date range but when I click export, nothing happens. The page reload and goes blank. The automatic location for downloads is my Download file and nothing appear there.
Please note I am trying to export on my eCommerce WordPress site for Essentially Yours, not this Therapeutics blog.
Help on what to try next would be great!
Thanks,
Kelly
The export users to csv seems to work except that it does not ask me where I’d like the exported user csv file placed on my computer. I does indicate that the download was successful and displays the green bars just as shown on the video included in the installation instructions but when I search my computer I don’t have a csv. I’ve even done a global search of all csv’s by searching my entire computer looking for *csv. I get hundreds of files then I order them by date. Nothing from the export.

Help please!

Can you confirm that your plugin doesn’t collect and store data in the database?
Are you use cookies in the plugin?
And is the generated csv file GDPR compliant? I meant if I copy the row of the user who requested information about tsored personal data and I send to him only that one row?
I have 2009 users on my site, and growing. When I download the CSV it does so by alphabetical order of user names and stops part way through the M user names and does not download the entire list.
]]>I have 190 users on my personal blog (using WP Version 4.9.5), and when I try to export users (using plugin Version 1.1.1) I get a CMS file with only 5 users included.
This happens regardless of whether I select “all users” or just “subscribers,” and regardless of what dates I select. It seems like this plugin is working for others, so I’m totally stumped by what’s going on for me!
]]>I have users with their first and last names in Chinese characters. When I am exporting those users in CSV file format, the first name and last name show some weird characters such as ??€?????? for example.
Please advice.
]]>After I select the type of user I want to download as well as select the date range and hit download the export file, the next screen shows the green ‘Success’ box but the option to download the file never appears and then after about 1 second the page auto-reloads and the “Success” box disappears.
I mention the “Success” box because this doesn’t happen with other exports. The success box will stay put unless I manually reload the page. It would seem something with the plugin is forcing a refresh with the User Export only.
]]>I am trying to export our user passwords out to another system. When I put the code from your FAQ into My Custom Functions, it adds a column to the export but the passwords do not appear to be plaintext passwords. Has this filter been changed to not do that anymore?

Hi Matt, I used “Import users from CSV with meta” to add bespoke fields to my users – the new fields appear in ‘extended profile’. Now trying to export a csv. with the data from these fields using “Export Users to CSV” and its only producing the basic data fields.
Any thoughts?
thanks

When trying to update, I get:
Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

Would it be possible to place this plugin on a front-end page?

]]>Hi, first of all congratulations on your plugin. I have used it in combination with WP ALL Import to migrate users.
The only thing that is missing is to be able to export the password. How could I do to export the password of the users?
]]>How to import the exported users to new site ?
Thanks .
]]>I’ve just adopted this plugin because I personally found great value in it and see it being useful for all WordPress users who migrate between sites or just need a simple list of users and their custom meta by user role.
I have plans to add some new features and to position this as something that WordPress Core would be interested in adding. Here’s the short list:
1) Move the menu to be integrated perfectly with the existing WordPress Core Export tools.
2) Export by multiple user roles instead of one at a time.
3) Choose which user meta to export instead of all on or all off.
If you have other feature requests, I’m open ears, but keep in mind that this tool will not become an EXPORT ALL THE THINGS plugin. I’ll keep it focused 100% on Exporting Users only.
If you are a developer and want to contribute bug fixes or feature requests, I welcome your contributions here:

I did receive a “warning, this plug in has not been tested with your current version of wordpress. Help! I do not want to manually create a csv ??
