It exports text but drops letters with diacritics randomly. It happens even with the author field which is always the same but I’m getting a proper name in one post, and a messed up one in another.

This was exactly what I needed to list all my posts on a single Google Sheets spreadsheet. I don’t know how well it works with Excel but it worked just fine for me on Sheets.
As for whether it still works or not, my latest WP version 4.7.2 did not suffer any issues with this plugin. Naturally, I tested on a local site before I tried it on my live site.
I do not know if it causes a conflict with other plugins. I only need to activate certain plugins on when I need it. Afterwards, I turn them off.
Would be nice to know if this plugin is updated though. Huge time saver.

Was the perfect solution and did exactly what I needed it to do, and it did it beautifully!

Tried this out, even though it hasn’t been updated in a while. Works great with 4.6.1. A very handy way to create lists of posts and other post types in order to create printable work lists and resort them.

Nice plugin and it works fine, although I only used it a couple of times. I have a big problem though: is there a way for it to export the friendly URLs? Because right now it exports the default WP URLs. I am using WordPress SEO by Yoast so I have friendy URLs and I would like them to be exported as well, instead of the ugly ones from WP. This is the only downside to the plugin, as far as I’ve noticed.

I tried a bunch of export plugins and this is the only one that really worked. It is so easy to choose and export only what you need.
Would be 5 stars if I could get featured images.

Hi,
It generates an empty file when I select All under categories. I have category structure with more then 2 levels.
If I select some categories only then it generates a file and for some categories it doesn’t.

since some days ago, none of my users could get to their dashbords or profiles. They kept being told not to be having sufficient rights. I, being playful and perhaps not careful enough, felt guilty (just in case) and began searching for the problem. By deactivating and activating the plugins one by another (all of them!), I found this one to be the origin of the problem. I cannot say if it’s by combining with another not compatible plugin or if it’s been updated lately. I was both relieved for finding the solution so quickly and disappointed for having to abandon a so useful plugin. I will have to have a peek now and then and test, if future releases will be compatible again …

The first time I previewed and downloaded a text file, it didn’t work. After generating the first (blank) text file, the second time the preview and population of the text file appeared to work.
Does what it says on the tin!

Marvelous tool for re-factoring content. Great work by the developers. Thank you very much.

I’ve been using Export to Text for a while now–don’t remember the version when I started. It’s helpful to me to be able to dump my content out to a flat file and/or document so I can see what I have all in one place, without having to muck about with WP’s menus and windows and slow-moving nature.
But I’ve been loading up new sites recently and hadn’t gone to look at my old stuff. Until today. Wow! Love the checkboxes!
AND:::: It exports from Shopp!! I can get all my catalog listings! Not all of my plugins cross that barrier into the eCommerce functionality. I dumped my catalog descriptions and will revise in the car over the holiday. This is great stuff…
Thanks!
