The plugin produces extended MySQL inserts so it becomes useless when you have a large database. Specifically when importing produced dump and PHP’s upload_max_filesize is limited and you can’t run BigDump importer because of lengthy extended inserts.

I’ve been looking for an easy way to download my WordPress database in SQL format, and I finally found it. I installed the plug-in, went to the Tools menu and chose “Export DB”, and within seconds it had zipped up the SQL dump of the database for me to download. That’s it. I didn’t have to set anything up or know my database name and password, or go through PHPmyadmin. Perfect for managed hosting situations where you might not have access to the database but need a copy of it anyway. I guess I have no excuse not to back up all my sites now ??
