This plugin adds a small tickbox at the bottom of the page editor (settings bar on the right) to exclude that page from appearing on the typical navigation bar. Simple and straightforward.

I have no idea why this plugin got so many “doesn’t work” reviews. Complete crock of crap. I’m running WP 5.7 and this little gem worked flawlessly out the gate exactly as promised.
Being said, I’m also using a plugin that gets rid of the stinkin’ Gutenberg nonsense and goes straight to the classic editor.
So in fairness, I cannot speak to those still stuck with Gutenberg. However, if you’re using the classic editor, Exclude Pages From Menu should work like a champ.
Thank you to Vinod Dalvi for creating this plugin – works PERFECTLY!

Apparently this plugin is no longer working and there is no way to get in contact with the creator or the plugin support. The links go to nothing. Would be nice if the links actually work when you need to get in contact with someone when the plugin no longer works.

Works fine. I have one page that I don’t want included on the home page menu items. This plugin was easy to use!

It’s not working with the Twenty Twenty theme.

So, I needed something to filter menu items that are managed with another plugin (Advanced Custom Fields). I knew this plugin wouldn’t work for me out of the box, so I went digging through its source.
If you’re not using the built-in functionality WordPress implements for managing navigation, this plugin will undoubtedly not work for your site. I’d guess that’s why it’s not working for a lot of the people leaving negative reviews.
In my use case, I’m pulling all of the meta data _epfm_meta_box_field
(meta key) out of the wp_postmeta table and comparing the post_id
field to the collection of post(s) I want to show links for.
Hope this helps anyone else looking for a solution.

Even thought marked a page Excluded it had no effect – page still was seen in menus.

This plugin is satisfying because it is easy to work on pages without any change on the website. Only when the page is ready you can publish it.
It can get better by having it available on new pages and a possibility to unexclude multiple pages in one move.

Works perfectly fine here. Did you guys make sure you clicked ‘Update’ on your pages once you clicked it be to be excluded?

I’m very disappointed with this plug-in. In theory it replaces the excellent, but abandoned plugin “Exclude Pages from Navigation” by Simon Wheatly.
However, wheras THAT plugin still works with all teh themes I’ve tested, and with current WordPress versions, this plugin does not work at all.
The support page for this plug-in is a sad list of people saying ‘plugin doesnt work’ and the author, although responsive, simply provides a custom workaround for people’s themes using CSS.
That is NOT a fix. A workaround is not a solution. This is something that needs to be addressed in the plugin, and I am really hopeful it can be because this is functionality I use frequently.

There was a great plugin called “Exclude Pages” that added this simple but important feature to WordPress. Sadly it was abandoned, but this plugin serves the same purpose! Easy and intuitive.
