Great idea for a plug in, shame it’s not working on this release of wp, cheers
]]>The instructions read:
Log in WordPress and activate the plugin.
Go to “Manage – Excerpt Editor” to use it.
I was able to log-in and activate the plugin without problems. But there’s not a “Manage” menu anywhere in the 3.2.1 Dashboard. I checked under the other menus, but the “Excerpt Editor” was nowhere to be found.
]]>Hello,
I recently installed excerpt editor and it works well, the only problem I have is that when I click on a category the continue reading text blends in with the font in black. On the homepage the font is different and stands out which I need it to do on the posts in the categories pages…
Thanks
]]>I love this plugin; however, I’m a little confused on how to remove the “Read more” link, or whatever your equivalent is, on short posts where you don’t want an excerpt. I hit the “delete excerpt” button in the editor, but that didn’t make the link go away. Anyone know how to fix this?
]]>When I add a new post, it moves the sidebar to bottom. I have tried this with small test posts as well…
Everything worked fine when I disabled plugin
]]>I like this plugin, however, it posts the “Read More” link on posts where there is no excerpt generated for that post (due to the posts being short in length). Anyone know how to fix this? I’d like for it to post the “Read More” link only on posts that have an excerpt. Thanks.
]]>To be more specific:
I now have no sidebar and widgets.
My footer has been wiped out.
Only 2 posts will appear on the home page.
A post that was originally excerpted correctly by WP now has no excerpt.
To top it all off, the plugin didn’t work for the preformatted text post I was trying to shorten. (Apparently WP doesn’t have the 55 word excerpt cutoff with preformatted text posts??)
