Have the Pro-Account. Won’t suggest! The Plugin cost me all nervs – as Webdesigner you need a Plugin that works – this is full of bugs and the support is responding days later and sometimes no response at all. Sorry! This is not for professional use reccomandable!

I have been using this plugin for years for a Role Model School Volunteer non-profit. With its hooks, I was able to create a variety of dashboards and custom screens. Very flexible. Pro version gives you access to even more features and a Forum of peers helping each other out.

I am sorry but this company don”t give Pro support and not responding for weeks to there Premium customers
They are like children not facing their responsibilities and not assuming that there are not able to provide Pro grade support and just playing around …
No one is responding to the tickets and issues for weeks and the worst is that there is no following and nobody take for account any service that running a company is needed
Seriously I never see this before such lost of time and time consuming Avery day trying to have an answer from anybody, after contacting support and using different communication available it’s look lie anybody is responding and facing the issues we have there is tons of users having issues and not having support, a shame to let people without any sort of response and I think this is the worst, how can a company taking for acutance the services they give and let people face there issues alone and not acknowledge that they are not able to give the support they advertise and taking a minimum of the responsibility they not taking
We try to post almost everyday since 3 weeks to get a chance to have an answer and nobody take the time to respond, all the other tickets (6/per day ) responded get the same answer : we are able to replicate the issue and escalade to the dev !! or they ask you to give access to wp and you wait, and you wait, and you wait ………
When you are not asked to give access to the who admin and this gies let behind them several plugins they installed and never suppress after their coming and not informing anybody that to what they put and let this plugins activated afterward !
and don’t trust all the posts saying that this is great support : this is fake and not true
we’ve worked with a lot of companies and we’ve never had such a bad lack of communication and lack of follow-up and a minimum of professionalism and also respect to communication. It’s supernatural at this level!

UPDATED: My account issue has finally been solved, though a bit late. I was informed that they are now hyper-focused on the core improvement of the plugin. We will be keeping our fingers crossed that a features-packed and less-bug version of the plugin is on its way.
EARLIER I WROTE: I’m currently a Pro member. My license is still valid but don’t know why I couldn’t log in to my Pro account from few weeks ago until now. I have tried to reset password but not working. I have sent several request to look into the issue using your main contact form but NOBODY answer me! I post a review here hopefully someone from your support team will SEE it. Pls help me to recover the account ASAP before I start losing confidence to your plugin.

We’ve been using the Events Manager plugin since 2017 with the free version, and since 2022 we’ve upgraded to the Pro version. With over 650 events hosted at our theater since then, this plugin has been instrumental in managing our event reservations, building a mailing list of our audience, and maintaining smoother communication with them.

This was installed with one of my themes so it was only the free version I was using.
I need help and some questions regard possible future features and the responses were quick and most importantly helpful.
I would say if you use this properly it could handle any event scenarios you would have for your wordpress projects. I will be upgrading to pro as I feel confident I will be looked after and the plugin has much promise for the future.

Below is a description of what happened to me. Hopefully if it happens to you this may help fix. I have not tried to update my app yet but I will be doing so shortly. But first I must say this. I have both a paid version and several free versions of this. I did not know how to ask for support so I posted a review (since that was the first location I stumbled on where I could write something). I get very lost in here with all the options.. Anyway, Marcus (who I found out is one of the developers) has been AMAZING to me. Even with my severe frustration trying to fix (What was a glitch in the app) he remained calm and has emailed me several tips and tricks that has helped me get things back on track. With support like that he has definitely earned a 5 STAR review. Maybe more!

So I was updating all my sites and unwittingly selected update all. If you are using this plug in and have one of the earlier versions DO NOT UPDATE! It will mess up your site. Or more specifically it will mess up the calendar view. There are ways to fix it and if you are good at code or want to try to search for line 609 in the php file go for it. Not an option for me. I need to find some place I can get version Version 6.4.7.3.
I was asked to fix this review. But the review is precisely what happened to me and a couple of my sites. While I tried to find a way to fix it I do not know code and I also find it very difficult to navigate these forums.
That being said. I will give “Marcus” (a person who sent me an email with suggestions who I do not know who he is) credit. He gave me a couple of ideas of what to do and I was able to find a plugin that allows me to “Roll Back” to a previous version. That is what I did and that fixed how the display showed on the site.
Now I have also recieved an email that says that the latest release should fix the problem. I am unsure if I even want to try it. Its like getting bitten by a dog and then being told “You can pet him he is frendly”… Yea… UM NO.. I will give them a higher star rating since they did reach out and try to help. But for now I will just stay with my Version 6.4.7.3.

This plugin has grown past the development capabilities of the people maintaining it. I have the pro version, and it’s basically one guy with very basic troubleshooting skills. When a true bug is found, there’s no resolution and worse yet, no timeframe for resolution.
A while ago, they did a major upgrade and changed their database structure. Reporting isn’t backwards compatible across that database change. If you look at your database, you see what they’re doing with tables-

They’re using 16 tables in total to manage this plugin. Complete mess. Super sloppy. I’m very invested in this plugin, but I’m about to jump ship.

This plugin has pretty good functionality for a very reasonable price.
But BEWARE! The code, support, and communication are pretty poor, and the docs are hit and miss (and sometimes outdated when they are available).

A potentially great system for managing events, but if something doesn’t work then the support is basically non-existent.
Don’t rely on this plugin for anything but a small website where you are able to manually take and fix bookings when you inevitably come across a bug that causes double-bookings/blocks people from booking/doesn’t update online payment status/doesn’t email customers (these are just a handful of the outstanding bugs currently on the support forum that have been ‘with the devs’ to fix for MONTHS).
The support in the ‘pro’ paid version consists of a private forum to post your problem to. It is full of people pleading over-and-over again for months to fix fundamental flaws and bugs, and the first line support technician just replying over-and-over that they have ‘raised it again with the devs’. In the meantime people’s businesses are losing custom or having to refund customers because the booking system has done something wrong due to a bug.
The only real replies from the plugin authors are where the support technician answers basic functionality questions like “how do I do x,y,z”, but if there is a bug (of which are many and frequent) then there is absolutely no chance of a speedy resolution or any comeback.
There is no support email address, no support telephone line, no SLA, no comeback if your site doesn’t work because of a bug…and the limited documentation is out-of-date as well!
But, if you just want something to manage events, present calendars, take bookings (with payments if you are brave) then the plugin has potential to be useful.

Versions 6.4 and later were full of bugs, which caused me a lot of trouble.
It’s not just my unique situation.
Users post bug reports and questions and comments on the Pro Support Forum many times a day.
Maybe that’s why the administrator is so busy, and it’s hard to get a reply to me.
If you tell them that you get an error code when paying with Paypal,
“This issue is already been reported; however; as a workaround, you can send us a login and FTP access on this Link for us to temporarily patch EM.”
-> Why don’t you modify the published “Events Manager Pro – PayPal Gateway”?

For over two week now, I’ve been ignoring simple questions like “Have you fixed it? Are you going to fix it now?”
These are stupid people who think they are victims even though they are paid to provide a bug-filled system.
I want you to realize that you are the perpetrator.
I also found three bugs in the ProSupport forum bulletin board system.
I think they love bugs.

As an event manager, the feature set is impressively well-conceived. Regrettably, its downfall is a user experience reminiscent of 2011. The demo site itself displays these issues, indicating they are not due to the environment or operator, although experiences may vary. The visitor experience suffers from layout shifts caused by temporary duplication of elements, such as date pickers in searches and calendar views, and with toggles erratically finding their places on screen and… Oof. From an admin perspective, addressing the CSS issues (‘!important’ declarations?) and refining the appearance and performance of page and feature styles, it’s a lot for 2024. I also fear the experience would be one of having to revisit and retouch the styling every time an update rolls out. After a brief trial on a staging site, I’m moving on. While I would invest in these features, the clunky execution is unsuitable for a live site. But the features are so good that I’ll definitely be back in the future to check if things have improved.

You need to work on code base if you wanna setup most simple needs, for example lightbox on image. Todo that you need to add custom snippet and for most evrything else you need to edit code base or adding more and more snippets. Also changing image size on event detail page will end in custom css. This plugin also does not hav any elementor widget.
If you wanna change a lot of and wanna have custom design, you need to work hours on hours in code base and writing tons of support tickets just to solve simple basics. And all this in 2024 and after so many active installations of this plugin.

Solved: blocking was done from Wordfence from a site in a higher level WordPress installation in a higher level folder. Added wordfecne to this subfolder installation as well, and did not have the problem anymore.
Using v6.4.7 and whenever I want to change plugin settings, e.g. change the email sender’s name and address, I get this error from Wordfence:

The plugin itself offers some good options, but is flawed in some places and not fully thought through. The support is extremely poor. Enquiries before purchasing the Pro version simply go unanswered and replies from Pro support take several weeks and are then not helpful. I am therefore now once again looking for a professional solution with good support.
The plugin is well suited for simple ticket sales without high demands. Therefore 2 stars.
