I’ve used this plugin twice now, once for a golf tournament site and again for a live event. It has worked great both times. The first payment gateway I used was Paypal and it worked flawlessly. The second time was with Authorize.net and there were a few issues. The developer was very friendly and responsive to addressing the issues. Everything works great now, even with some customization.

Would have received a 5 star if I could figure out how to use encrypted PayPal buttons with the plugin…

I found one mention of it in their forums from April 2013 (“Encrypted buttons not available at this time”), but nothing newer.

Great tool. Like most plugins there are things I do not understand and would change. BUT, I know you cannot make something perfect for all. Waiting for forum access so I can investigate resolutions for a few things.

I knew i would get an account here soon to build my own WordPress site, but
just went ahead and got this account today after using your Event Registration plugin, just to write this review. I am too impressed to wait. Your product works well! Good job. Our client uses it to register doctors for events. I just got it working on their site and it was easy. Tested it, and recommend it.

The app works great.
Found an issue with the latest version that I cant report, because the support forum registration doesn’t work with the SMF authentication installed. Have given up on trying to register, going have to figure out the plugin issue myself.

I have used this plugin a few times for different clients and am very pleased with the ease of use and functionality!!

My only issue is that the end time must be entered – we do not always have or know what the end time will be. But I prefer this to the option of selecting “all day event” as some event plugins do.

Currently we are using the plugin for high school plays and it would be great to have the ability to set up different performances / times all in one place. For now, we clone the event and change the date, that works fine.

It took time and patience to acquaint myself with the ins and outs of this plugin. But honestly, after trying (and deleting) five other registration plugins, this one is clearly at the head of the pack. It is highly customizable and the developer, David Fleming, responded swiftly and efficiently to my queries. And lest we forget, this is a FREE plugin. I would urge other enthusiastic users to donate!

Peridically looses content of configuration when updating it for no apparent reason.
Plugin forum says it’s because strange characters are input in email text in config. Problem happend even when no strange characters in email.
Also, no support in the plugin for foreign characters.

I had the exact same issue as will828. Immediate conflicts with jQuery, none of my drop-downs or sliders worked once this plugin was activated.

Very feature-packed, but the ways those features are implemented are hit and miss. There are a bunch of required fields in the registration process I wish I could customize or remove, though I can’t complain too much about a free plugin. The HTML output is atrocious, not XHTML or HTML5 compliant and full of inconsistent syntax and inline CSS. In general, the code and UI are overly complicated. This plugin could be really great with some code cleanup and UI design finesse.

Also, a couple of times when submitting changes in the admin a DB error was thrown and all data for that section was erased. I can’t tell if it was a WP or plugin error, but since the problem was isolated to this plugin it gives me serious doubts as to its stability.

It has great functionality for creating and managing events and participants. It takes some time configuring all the options as it is very complete.

I like the plugin, but it conflicts with my Gravity Forms plugin. You need to deactivate this to make any changes to your forms.

Hey Guys,

I really like this plugin for some of my clients but there is one problem that I can’t figure out. Whenever I go to the event in the calendar, it is not linked to the event but rather the calendar. Could someone assist me with this problem?

Great plug-in – does what I need it to and allows flexibility to customize with your own CSS. Donated and hope others will too, as I would like to see the other feature modules listed in development to come to fruition.

The amount jQuery libraries/plugins this uses is absolutely insane. I wish this was more customizable. I cannot make use of this due to the weight and javascript errors it creates. If you want to spend hours and hours editing this plugin, it may be of some use to you.

This is an ambitious plugin, that accepts multiple payment gateways. It fills a niche that other plugins typically charge high monthly fees for. Unfortunately the admin interface is so sloppy and clunky, with a large number of typos, that I simply don’t trust it.
