Hi there, I usually upload 2 weeks worth of events and then take the code and add it to my Mailchimp and it worked perfectly. However, I had to move away from WordPress but I love your software.
Is there a different software or a version that I can use in my email newsletter? I have Brilliant Directories and the events are located there.
If there isn’t anything available, is there a way I can have something created that would be able to do this? Thanks
]]>Hi, I am interested in your plugin, I’d just need to know if it would be possible to automatically (without any human intervention or with the minimum one) send a newsletter every time a single event is published by The Event Calendar.
And, if that is possible, which service would you suggest for a newsletter with about 2.500 subscribers and 5 to 10 events/newsletters per month.
Thanks for your help!
Stefano
Hello all, I’m facing some blurry thumbnail images in WordPress using the event calendar newsletter plugin and going into Mailchimp. I don’t think it is the plugin — I think it is WordPress settings on image compression, though I have disabled everything that might be contributing, forced resizing of the thumbnails, etc. You can see the blurry thumbnail here:
https://sjdastg2024.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/DTSJ-Calendar-19-1-150×150.jpg
I’ve worked out a possible workaround — in the code, instead use the 300×300 image:
https://sjdastg2024.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/DTSJ-Calendar-19-1-300×300.jpg
and then add width and height attribute to scale the 300×300 to 150×150 for use in Mailchimp:
<img src="https://sjdastg2024.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/DTSJ-Calendar-19-1-300x300.jpg" width="150" height="150"alt="" />
This works great and looks very nice in Mailchimp. I realize that the file size is larger for the 300×300 images. My question is, how can I add the width=”150″ and height=”150″ to each image in the html results in the plugin, so that when I copy/paste in the html code from the plugin into Mailchimp, all 300×300 images will be displayed at 150×150? Thank you!
]]>We are using Event Calendar Newsletter in conjunction with Simple Calendar, which in turn pulls events from a public Google Calendar.
All of our event descriptions have been updated and are showing appropriately in Simple Calendar. Unfortunately, when I click “Generate Newsletter Formatted Events,” the previous descriptions are still showing.
I have tried clearing our website cache, to no avail. I have also logged out and back in and deleted and re-installed the plugin.
]]>On the settings page there are four “group by” format lines. When setting up a template, the only group by options are “none”, “day” and “month”. What are the “tag” and “in-progress” items on the setting page for? I don’t find anything in the documentation regarding this.
]]>It appears to me that if I set an event to start on a date and set the end date to more than 2 days later, the event does not get included in the event listing. If the event only spans one or two days it is included. Is this by design? Does the plugin not handle multi-day events?
Background: I send out a weekly newsletter. Between regular posts, EventPrime, MailPoet and your plugin the content is all automatically generated. (AMAZING!) I have an event category called “Ads”. This set to be excluded from the calendars. I use a shortcode from your plugin to generate the events from that category to be included. I want to use the start and end dates to control when the ad get included on my website and in the newsletter. If someone purchases an ad to run for one month, say September 1 through 30, I set the start and end date of the event (ad) to those dates. If I set the template to start at today and include 1 day of future events, I expected any event that is going on today (and/or tomorrow?) would be included. i.e. any event that does not start after today or end before today.
]]>Man I love this plugin! I send out a weekly newsletter of events for the next two weeks. This makes it so easy! Set a few parameters, click generate and cut and paste the results into my newsletter. The listings look GREAT and are highly functional with a link back to the event page.
]]>can your plugin allow me to email event notifications as new events are added, to subscribers of various types of events? ex. A new event tagged as “Etobicoke” is added to my calendar then automatically anyone who has subscribed to events tagged “Etobicoke” automatically are sent a notification.
thanks,
chris

Event Calendar Newsletter takes the details of your upcoming events to put inside your newsletter from one of the supported WordPress event calendar plugins.

Events Manager
Event Organiser
The problem is that I already have Events Manager installed. How do I get it to recognize that EM is already on my system?

]]>Hi,
I am using The Events Calendar Pro and also using “The Events Calendar Extension: Event Titles Link to Website URL” (https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/make-event-titles-link-to-the-event-website-url/) so when a user clicks on the the Event Title or the Featured Image it takes them directly to the Event URL instead of the Single Event page. If copying /pasting the Event Calendar Newsletter html code to a Mailpoet3 SOURCE CODE textfield, the images are missing.
After testing for hours, I got the solution: just copy the html code to a “normal” text field – and all images are shown ??
maybe this helps someone!

I’m trying to set up your plugin to be used on a site using the Adada Theme with The Events Calendar plugin. It doesn’t seem to be playing nicely with the theme as it is outputting the Fusion Builder code with the event description as you can see below.
Is there a way to easily strip out the fusion code? Maybe this is something you’ve already fixed with your pay plugin?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m new on this plugin. Installed today. In set-up page, I have “Simple Calendar (Google Calendar Events) — 1 week — default format. Hitting the “Generate” button I get a modal box that just says “Error”. And an “OK” button. Can’t tell what I’m doing wrong.

]]>Hi
I have been generating upcoming calendar events from events calendar, that include the featured image, for some time. This works reliably in Mailpoet 2 by cutting and pasting the HTML.
When using in Mailpoet 3 the images do not appear.

Are you able to shed some light on the problem

Still researching other settings, but recently my images are not displaying in Mailchimp when I copy over the html.

Not sure if this is a WP or Mailchimp setting?

My event featured images are all 64 pixels square, bit I don’t see a choice for that size in your settings. Is this causing a problem?
