Hey!
Inside the settings of the plugin I can set a default “ActivityPub Event Category”.
I can’t find a way to change this category on the single event.
I was expecting a drop-down to pick from the same list as in the settings to select an alternative value.

]]>Hey!
After activation of the plugin I was expacting the events to automatically show up in the ActivityPub feed. At the moment I need to change settings. If I install a plugin to add events into the Fediverse, that says it is complatible I expect to not need to change settings. I did some explicit actions.

]]>Hey!
After activating the plugin and going to the event list inside the backend there is an admin notice:
You have installed the ActivityPub plugin, but the event post type of the plugin VS Event List is not enabled in the ActivityPub settings.
The linked part is pointing to the settings of the event bridge settings:
/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=activitypub&tab=event-bridge-for-activitypub&subpage=settings
The notice is recommending to change settings on a different page. The link should point to the “Supported post types” section on the Settings of the main Plugin:
/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=activitypub&tab=settings
Maybe talk to the team of the ActivityPub plugin to add an ID as a jump mark.

]]>I’m testing plugin together with WP Event Manager. I have created test event and it federates but the event start/end time (as can be seen in posts body in follower’s timelines) is incorrect. The start time is equal to end time and it seems to be event creation/posting time instead of start/end time as visible on event page.
]]>I just managed to get set up, eager to use this for the Open Education Week site that uses The Events Calendar Pro with the Community Events add on. My first event published never showed up but one I just approved did show up (only on one instance, my other account does not see it, are there caching delays in federating).
The site is federating as @sharing@oeweek.oeglobal.org and event that I see in one instance is https://oeweek.oeglobal.org/activity/getting-started-with-open-pedagogy/
I was pleased to see it, but the format with HTML lists was not the format I expected:
I have changed the settings to try to use the template tags. Note that the field names displayed in the setting have incorrect labels (the first two tags).
Is it possible to republish or do I need to get a new event to test?
]]>I’m testing this plugin, it looks interesting. Though it doesn’t really display anything. Is it possible to have an Attend button like on Mobilizion? Or any other way to show people that there is an option to RVSP to the event?
