I’m sure this is an easy answer, so hopefully having a nice softball question will cheer you up!

I’ve installed the plugin and am testing out integrating it with a dummy Etsy store. I’ve got the API keys for the etsy shop successfully stored, and I can even see the 2 products from the Etsy store listed under the “Products” tab for the plugin.

My question is, how are those product listings (which I understand to be custom posts?) made available? When I try to visit the url that is given for the products, I get a page not found error.

I’m sure it’s user error on my part, but I’m not sure what I’m missing to get these postings visible on the site.

I noticed that the url was sitename.com/products/product-name so I created a page called Products, hoping that would help… perhaps I confused things even further?

Another note: I’ve been experimenting with different plug-ins for Etsy integration, and while the other ones are deactivated, maybe there is a problem there. If I need to, I can fully de-install possibly conflicting plugins.

I have installed your plugin. it pulls the content, but it does not pull any images and if I look at the recent posts the post is not there, but it is under products.

Any idea what to look at?

2. How do I get and display the product description?
3. How do I link the product to Etsy instead of the WordPress product page (which by the way throws a 404).

Your plugin states that it should automatically update the products inventory and check for new products on Etsy and import hands-free. It doesn’t seem to be doing this. Is this functionality still working?

I updated the code to put the product SKU’s retrieved from Etsy into the WordPress Meta Data and also retrieve Etsy products by Etsy Listing ID instead of Title so that one product is imported into WordPress for each product in Etsy even if the product Titles in Etsy are identical.

Happy to feed these updates back for inclusion in an updated version if wanted.

I have started a local classified site that is geared towards the same type of user etsy has, except at a much smaller and local level.

What I am wondering is, would it be possible to integrate this plugin into my current theme and allow the users that sign up to my site, import their existing etsy shops.

I assume this is not what the plugin does currently, but is this something that could be custom coded?

Hi, trying to link the above plugin and its worked fine apart from importing reviews, it says ‘Please click on ‘Save & Verify’ as the Importer needs new permissions to be able to import Reviews’ which ive done , it takes me to Etsy where it says ‘If you allow access for this app, you may experience errors using it.
Allow Access – I click allow access and it takes me back to the other message on EI
I’ve tried emailing EI but the message won’t send,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and save my weekend!

I ran the importer yesterday for my 178 Etsy listings and that worked great. However it obviously pulls in the long Etsy titles as they are on Etsy for SEO purposes but they look crazy on my website. I edited them to be way shorter as well as reduced the number of categories as I’m using them as a filter (I’ve added the custom post types to a visual composer custom post grid to show on my shop page). I’ve also deleted a lot of the products it imported as I don’t want to show them on my site.

Overnight my product posts have been overwritten with the original titles and categories and the deleted products have returned. I guess the importer was still running in the background. How often does it run after the first import has completed? Will it always overwrite rather than just add new?

Can I choose which products to import when it runs or will I always have this issue?

If I disable the importer so no new products get added (I guess by removing the API key) will I loose the already imported data?

The importer works. But i would like to have a link or a button automatically in the product page that allows visitors to transfer directly in the product ETSY page, In order to facilitate the purchase process.
Is it possible?

I am only getting 3 or 4 products importing at a time. They’re different products every time.

The first couple times, it produced a “cURL” error message but I can’t seem to reproduce it.

Also, the products were having trouble displaying (404 error). I was able to solve this by navigating to WP-admin –> Settings –> Permalinks. Didn’t change anything and saved changes. But the products aren’t displaying any images or links.

Ideally the products would import with an “add to cart” button

Have activated both Etsy Shop and Etsy Importer. Have successfully used Etsy Shop but only posts’ one pictures and the alignment is by one row. And the Etsy Importer when I import an Item is shows this. Thank you for your time. Have a good day!

I have an etsy store and I have the etsy importer plug in to make it easy to update my stock on my website. The problem is I can’t get the plugin to change the quantity if one of the variations is out of stock. For an example In a listing I sell backpacks. In the one listing there are several color variations, say I mark the blue variation out of stock, how do I get the plug in to mark the blue backpack out of stock under the backpacks product on my website.

My Etsy shop is multilingual, ideally I would like the plugin to import all languages of the items. But it imports only the English version which is not the main language of the Etsy Shop.
If I can a least choose which language version to import, that will be great.

I hope you can help me. My wife has just set up an Etsy shop and asked me to integrate it with her website. As Etsy Importer seemed most suitable, I installed it on her site, Gozotiques, found her Store ID – 14532455 – and set the API Key.

On running the Importer, I get the message:

Etsy Importer Settings
No product count paramater available from Etsy response. Are there any products available?

She has three products listed, and I cannot see what is causing the problem.

Any help or advice would be deeply appreciated.

I’m trying to get this plugin to work because it should accomplish exactly what I need. However, once the products are imported the status isn’t being set correctly. I have about 60 items in my shop and they are all imported but only around 10 of them get set to published and the rest are drafts even though they are available.

I tried to change them to be published but they just change back. I don’t want to disable the feature since it would be nice for the items to be removed once they have been purchased but I can’t seem to get it to set the status correctly no matter how much I try.

Is there anything you can suggest that would fix this?

I used this plugin to import my Etsy store listings. They appear to have come in – although put in a section called “mine” – yet show published. However, when you go to the store, they are not there.

Have I misunderstood the purpose of this plugin? How is it supposed to work. It doesn’t do me any good to import if they don’t show up in my store. ??

Hello WordPress Gurus (and wow, 8 years since my last post??!),

I’m creating a cool new website for my wife to showcase her fine crafted products in her upcoming Etsy store. I installed the helpful Etsy Importer plugin. I really like how this plugin pulls content from Etsy and creates new product posts to match/sync (cool!).

The challenge:
When I enable the Etsy Importer module, a few things happen:
-All category pages break, resulting in “not found” errors when clicking to view any category (quickly resolved by disabling the plugin). Not a .htaccess issue as clean/pretty urls still work for posts and when the Etsy Importer plugin is disabled.
-New product categories and tags are not listed in widgets that show categories and tags
-There are no product-related widgets available to use for this plugin specifically that I can see, making me think that there’s something up with the previous item.
-No other new plugins are installed/enabled as I build this site.

…but I LOVE the import/sync capabilities!…

Is there a cache or something I should clear after enabling the plugin?

I’m stumped. I have all my products imported and they show up on the /products archive page but when I drill down to the individual post pages for those products, there is no photo displayed, nor is there a link out to the Etsy listing. Can I have my archive page link directly to the Etsy listing for each post? Is there another way I can do so from the post itself (and if so, how do I include the photo for that listing into its post)?

Not sure if you’re familiar with it, but I use prophoto wordpress plugin for my site design.

This plugin seems to have stopped working – I have it set up to run bi-daily to auto-update my store, yet some out of stock items are not being updated and new items added to Etsy are not showing on the website. I ran the updater manually and it said no products to change. I don’t understand why this is the case can anyone help?
