Hello Team, can you tell me how to add subject field in it ? and where entry saved ?

Amazing plugin! It has everything I need. Actually, it may have too much. Is there any way to only add one field to the page? I’d just like to add an email field to the page and not the others. Also, is there any way to make fields not required? So when the user wants to write a message, but they don’t write their name, the form would still submit the data.

thank you very much for the great plugin. I absolutely love it and use it on every site that doesn’t need additional features. Here’s an idea for an improvement: Could you add a general CSS class to the message box wrapper? Right now, we have a class for success or error. That means that we have to repeat the CSS rules. Well, yes, I could use :has, but this seems to be a little bit over the top.

Instead of this:

<div id="f92b11b92-1" style="display: block;" class="ef-success">Text</div>

This would be even better:

<div id="f92b11b92-1" style="display: block;" class="ef-success ef-message">Text</div>

We could then use the general class for the, well, general rules and the specific class for the colors.

Hello. Privacy policy URL is empty on multisite WordPress installation. The method get_site_option( 'wp_page_for_privacy_policy' ) returns zero even if privacy policy is configured in the site settings.

Hello, fantastic lightweight plugin!

Just a very small feature request for future verisons. Could you please make the label clickable rather than just the agreement checkbox itself? It’s a minor thing but the checkbox is quite small and it’s much easier/quicker to check the label not just the checkbox.

To do this I believe you just use the <label> element and associate it with the checkbox using the “for” attribute, matching the checkbox’s ID.

This is not a support question. I just wanted to share my excellent experience with Essential Form in terms of spam protection. After installing the plugin spam dropped from 200 per day to 0. I have no idea how this works, but it works great. No captcha, no quiz, no nothing.

I will migrate all sites that do not need extended functionality to Essential Form.

Thanks for this cool plugin. I’m having trouble with it.

I installed the shortcode and it shows as expected on my page. I fill the form out, it says the message has been sent but I never receive it.

I changed the shortcode to [essential_form label_email=”[email protected]] but same issue (no email received).

Q2: is there a way NOT to have people check the privacy policy checkbox, and just disable this whole function?

Love the form, it is just what is needed. However, I need to point to the correct privacy policy (https://deannascookbook.com/wpautoterms/privacy-policy/) instead of the default. How would I do that?

You can speed up the form submission by deactivating all the other plugins during the process. To do so:

• Install and activate Freesoul Deactivate Plugins
• Go to Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Plugin Manager => Actions => Essential Form
• Deactivate all the plugins for the actions “Getting secret key during submission” and “Form submission”

By using Freesoul Deactivate Plugins to clean up all the other plugins, the form submission will be faster and without any conflict with third plugins.

Add the shortcode [essential_form]. Done!

If you need to customize the contact form you can use the following parameters:

• label_email
• label_message
• button_text
• agreement_text
• success_message

Your shortcode will look like [essential_form label_emal=”Your email” lable_message=”Your message” button_text=”Send” agreement_text=”You agree with our privacy policy” success_message=”Thank you for your message!”]

If you don’t write any parameter, the plugin will use the default parameters.
