I need to embed a page in the widget section. This doesn’t work for it. It works fine in a regular page or post but I need it in the widget section to show it in the sidebar. Can you please let me know if there is something I can do to get this to work on the widget? Thanks

I have installed the plugin and was trying to embed a post from the URL https://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/18/opinion/sunday/the-benefits-of-bilingualism.html and created the frame like [iframe https://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/18/opinion/sunday/the-benefits-of-bilingualism.html 400 500] and embeded on the https://chandigarhhousesale.com/cart/
When I see the page this says nytimes.com will not allow it to connect and I get this message in Mozilla:
Firefox Can’t Open This Page
To protect your security, https://www.nytimes.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.

The instructions do not give clear instructions.
I’m trying to add a framed page into a wordpress page.

Do I add an html block and paste the code?
Do I use the “code editor” view on the page options and paster there?
Do I use the short code block?

I migrated my network to a new server and everything was working great except this plugin. When I embed a page, the page appears too small and nothing happens when I modify the parameters. I have used other similar plugins and other themes but the problem persists.

I really need to be able to embed the iframe’s in wordpress pages and allow floating / text wrap.
I’ve been scouring the internet trying to figure out how to achieve this but can only find info when using div not iframe and specifically not the code for embed iframe plugin.
Please advise how this can be achieved!

Hello. I love this plugin! Thanks for creating and sharing it with the WP community. It used to work great but now having upgraded to 3.3.1 you can see that it doesn’t re-size anymore. ??

It displays at a smaller size without the data and can’t be re-sized. I tried putting ... around it, too.

We’re running version 1.0 of the plugin. I didn’t see an option to upgrade the plugin itself. It’s my understanding that is the version I tried deactivating and reactivating to no avail.

I have been developing a website and the embed iframe plugin has been working great. I just changed the permalinks today to custom and now the iframe wont work. it just shows the html tag needed. i have checked the url and it works fine. i dont understand, permalinks is the only thing i changed.

Copy/pasting the <iframe… link directly from a google map or google calendar seems to work perfectly! There are so many broken plugins for WordPress that try to deal with these things specially – it is SO much better just to allow iframes with this plugin!

I have some questions for you about this plugin.

• 1. Can you embed on a page as well as on a post?
  2. Can you embed a full site?
  3. If you can embed a site, when the site is embedded and you click in places in the embedded site, does it redirect you to that site or does it stay within your site?
  4. If it redirects, is there some way to stop it from doing that?

I may have more questions after you’ve answered these ones.

I have a new site running wp3.0.4, the only plugin I have installed and active at this point is the Embed iFrame but it’s not working.

I inserted on my page:

Tiny MCE strips out iframe tags in Twenty Ten theme.

Using the most recent version of the Embed iFrame plugin, height and width attributes aren’t passed.

I applied this fix to no avail:

This was echoed: height:px; width:px;

I had to hard code the dimension values into iframe.php.

It has a scroll bar at the base, regardless of the width/height. A normal iFrame would have a “no scroll” option, but this plugin doesn’t. Because of this, the plugin is of no use to me. Shame.

I added this plugin based on vimeos suggestions to use with the new universal player, but the result isn’t an embeded video but an immediate redirect to the vimeo page.

As my site loads (on a desktop computer) it is redirected to vimeo.

Any suggestions on getting this to work (ie thumbnail’d embed)?
