I’m the owner of an educational WP blog where i hosted several thousands posts, and many of them contains embedded documents (mostly word and pdfs). I use Embed Any Document plugin to embed documents, and to provide preview option and option to download documents. Sometimes we are facing issues with displaying preview of larger documents (documents with 10 or 20 word pages) like this one https://zelenaucionica.com/citanje-i-pisanje-brojeva-do-milion/. Even when user click to Open in new tab option document get stuck (not opened). The only option is to reload the page but we cannot ask our users to do so, and the issues significantly impact our reputation. We hosted our blog on powerful VPS so resources are not issue in this case. We considered to buy Plus version of the plugin but we see in the preview Page of the Plus version you have the same issue with loading sample PDF.

Can you please advise how we can overcome this issue with slow and stuck preview.

Hi,

Your plugin is installed and active. When editing Gravity Forms, and scrolling all the way to the bottom of the screen, I see maybe 20% of the right side of a form that almost looks like part of a embed any doc form.

Hello, I get this error to lead embedded file (pdf). I don’t see any option in settings to control this.

For a very demanding client of mine I would need to remove the weight of the file from the download link. I’ve tried many other plugins, but yours is the only one that allows me to customize the link graphics based on the site’s styles. But the weight of the file written in the link is really very annoying. Is it possible to remove it or make it an option?

Link to the .PDF doesn’t work always, but the browser opens a blank page for Google Viewer and this is well known bug https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/29715674/pdf-viewer-not-working-grey-blank-screen?hl=en

I have correctly configured the Embed Any Document Plus plugin with OneDrive, in fact I can access the files to upload to the pages.
Once I have selected the file, however, nothing happens, the popup for uploading via Upload, URL, OneDrive,… remains open.
Tried with Safari, Firefox, Chrome on Mac OS
How can I solve this problem?

I would like to set a range of rows and columns to be displayed. Currently the spreadsheet is scrolling infinitely into empty white spaces. I only need readers to see the range that has actual content. How do I modify the shortcode to limit the visible ranges?

We upgraded plugin for ’embed any doc’ on Friday – in all my confirmation emails there is no reference to a licensing key that WordPress requires:

see the email I sent to both microsoft AND embedanydocument.com earlier citing screenshots/documentation needed to access what I need.

The upgrade was $40. The expense is not the concern, it’s the lack of support for a product you sell and microsoft endorses that bothers me. In all confirmation correspondence received upon receipt of the upgrade, none cited an Envato purchase key needed (see screenshot in complaint message below)

Why doesn’t the embed-any-document plugin when the doc file changes? Also, why do the bookmarks not work? The first five links on https://abilicorp.com/001-test/ are bookmarks

When I try to upload a xlsm file, I get error, “Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type.”.

I moved 2 sites to a new host. Everything works great when site abc.com wants to access a PDF from site xyz.com, except for Embed Any Document. It was working great at the first host, but on the second host the document window which should show the PDF is blank and it says xyz.com refused to connect.

Any ideas?

We cant seem to get the plugin to work using the Microsoft viewer option. We’ve tried blank installs of WordPress with no other plugins. We’ve checked file size, file names and access.
The Google viewer works, but does not support similar functionality to the Microsoft Office Viewer, so we can’t use that.
The error appears to come from the viewer within the embedded iframe. ANy tips on how to troubleshoot or fix the issue?

I was wondering if it’s possible to get the download link above the document instead of below. Currently using:
[embeddoc url="<link to pdf>" download="all" viewer="google"]
But could not find more documentation on properties of embeddoc.

We are a non-profit organisation and I use this plugin on a lot of our sites but I have just noticed that all the word documents that have been embedded with this plugin have now stopped working on all the sites, it just shows an error loading instead, please see Screenshot.

Has anyone else come across this issue and how to resolve it?

I included an Excel file using OneDrive / Include option. Code generated and used:

On the page, users can indeed enter values (green cells) and these values are used to perform calculations. However, the date format changes form dd-mm-yyyy (used in Excel) to mm-dd-yyyy (presented on page) and decimal comma used changes to decimal point.

Is there a way to align date and number formats?

Hi, I’m embedding a PowerPoing with the Google viewer, however by default the viewer is being displayed zoomed out a lot and very small. When I click fit to width, it’s being displayed well. Is there a way to automatically load it with fit to width setting?

If I add a PDF (created as being accessible in Acrobat Pro) will still be fully accessible when added via the plugin?

For example, will a screen reader still read the text?

Ever since the latest update, the plugin is creating a fatal error on my site. It seems to conflict with Formidable Forms Pro all of a sudden. How can I roll back to a previous version of your plugin until I get this fixed?

I tried uploading and with files already in the library (not the other option i’m just trying the free version for now). But I get this message “Error loading the document : response is not a valid JSON response”
I also tried with PDF same problem.

Hi, I’m wondering how to change the embedded document. I use pdf, it changes every two weeks. And I don’t want to delete the block and add the block again for the menu. After that, I have to change the settings again to browser based viewer.

I wanted to save a draft with the empty block and with the necessary settings. And duplicate it when needed. But the settings aren’t there, when no document is chosen.

For me, it is just annoying, for the guy who will work with the plugin it’s an obstacle.
