I am using “The Events Calendar” by Modern Tribe and Email Subscribers together to send notifications to a list. I currently have one list, and a Post Notification campaign setup to automatically email everyone on “List A” whenever the Post Type = “tribe_events” ..
Now I have created a new list (“List B”) and want to send emails to only that list when an event with a specific category is created, but it seems the only option I have is “tribe_events”, as the Campaign setup page does not see different types of Calendar categories (it only sees different “Post” categories)..
So using Email Subscribers, how can I specify different Calendar categories to go to different email campaigns?
]]>Your database is being updated in the background. Taking a while? Click here to run it now.
But nothing seems to be happening and this has been running for a couple of hours.
Click here to run just sends me to the set up pages.
This is with the most recent update.
We don’t have that many subscribers.
]]>Hi,
I’m testing subscriber-group plugin extension and I would like to ask.
Is there any way how can user change his subscription? Any link where he will see which groups he has subscribed and where he can add/remove groups?
Thanks
]]>Before when using only Email Subcribers plugin when clicking on “Subscribe” it didn’t reload the page and simply appeared “Succesfully subscribed” below the form, now with Group Selector extension it reloads the page.
The form is on a modal so I need the message appearing below without refreshing the whole page.
What can I do?
]]>kindly check above link.
I have created 3 sample groups. when i provide email and select 2 or 3, it subscribes to only 1st selected group and ignores rest. what am i doing wrong?

]]>If I select multiple groups, the subscribed email address appears multiple times, once for each group.
This is an administration nightmare.
Are there any plans to change this? It makes groups very difficult to justify.
]]>Hi ya,
So I can see no reason to have these plugins use groups, rather than link to the categories of posts/pages.
We can ONLY create groups when adding a subscriber, and if all the subscribers of a group are removed, then that group disappears.
This is very odd, and unhelpful.
And since you seem to only be able to add Groups with a new subscriber, then you have to create a fake new subscriber in order to have new groups.
Why not simply use the existing categories?
I can understand the use of groups to “group” categories together, but since you can’t create a group independently of a subscriber, then it all becomes very difficult…
Thanks,
Norman
I want to change the text “Interested groups” to “Send info for:”
I saw previous replies to the same question directing me here: https://www.icegram.com/documentation/es-how-to-change-update-translate-any-texts-from-email-subscribers/.
I downloaded the Loco Translate plugin. I changed the source text in the editor and saved it. But nothing changed on the front end.
Can you send step by step instructions? I have followed the link you sent previously, but they don’t give enough detail.

]]>Hi folks,
I like your plugin, but have a problem. My groups are
“Abfall- Wasser- und Chemiekalien-Wirtschaft,Allgemein,Energiewende,Atomausstieg,Erkl?rungen,Gentechnik,Grundsatz- und Programm-Diskussion,Innovation,International,Klima,Konferenzen,Land- und Forstwirtschaft,Lebensweise und Wirtschaft,Literatur Empfehlungen,Natur- und Tierschutz,?kobewegt,?kologie und Linke,?kologische Verkehrswende,Regional,sozial-?kologischer Umbau,Termine,Theorie,über uns,Videos,Weitere Umweltthemen,Aktion”
I added to the field “GROUP names to display (coma separated values)” but not all of them are offered in the widget. They are truncated to
“Abfall- Wasser- und Chemiekalien-Wirtschaft,Allgemein,Energiewende,Atomausstieg,Erkl?rungen,Gentechnik,Grundsatz- und Programm-Diskussion,Innovation,International,Klima,Konferenzen,Land- und Forstwirtschaft,Lebensweise und Wi”
Is there a possibility to show all of them?
Thanks

your add on seems to work but when I try to edit and save the page where I placed the sortcode I get the following message on a blank page. The changes are saved anyway.

I wasn’t able to locate exactly what the problem is but I guess it has to do with the php version. With PHP version 7.0 I only get an error when editing and saving. With 7.2 I get an additional error when previewing the page.

Dear Support,
Is it possible to display groups as “drop down” list and force user to choose only one group?
Would it be possible to add such functionality?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
MD
There’s no form class added when the form field is generated by shortcode. Therefore CSS styling is more complicated than it must be.
Maybe just add the class “es_shortcode_form” like it’s done when you use the normal shortcode.
]]>The checkboxes for the user to select from are not appearing at all. When an email is entered and the ‘Subscribe’ button is pressed is throws an error for the user to select a group before proceeding.

Code : <?php
echo do_shortcode(‘[email-subscribers-advanced-form id=”1″]’);

I am attempting to create a subscribe option where site visitors can subscribe to only a specific blog post category. Is this plugin designed to do that? I have created “Groups” for each blog post category, but it does not appear to work that way.
Can you help me achieve this functionality using your base plugin and this plugin add-on?
]]>I would like to change the text of “interested groups”
I can see in a previous thread to read this article – https://www.icegram.com/documentation/es-how-to-change-update-translate-any-texts-from-email-subscribers/
I tried that and it didnt work.
Is there another way to do this?

]]>Hi, I just installed Email Subscribers for my WP theme. I then installed Group Selectors but it’s not showing up anywhere in my dashboard or under the Email Subscribers tab. I looked at help forums and it said that it should be right there but it’s not. Help! Thanks.
]]>Hi,
I’m using Email Subscribers to send my subscribers a message every time when a new post is published. Since it would be more efficient to send only those posts that a particular subscriber is interested in, I added the Email Subscribers – Group Selector plugin.
I don’t understand why this has to be an extra plugin since this should always have been a function in Email Subscribers
Anyway, now I have 2 questions:
1) how can I style the new subscribers form? There seems to be no selectors (class or id) available to target the different form parts (label, input fields, …).
2) how can I differentiate my posts so that the subscribers only receive the posts they are interested in? I may be wrong, but I don’t see any new field in the post backend to indicate in which group this post will be sent to the subscriber.
Maybe there’s another way to configure this functionality? I didn’t find any clue in the documentation on how to get this done.
Apparently it can’t be enough to give the subscriber a choice which posts they want to receive if there’s no way to make that distinction between posts.
Hello,
I am inputting the GROUP names to display with (coma separated values) but am only able to fit 225 characters in the boxes. I have about 22 categories that I need my users to be able to select with a total of 252 characters, the text box cuts the last 2 categories off. Is there something I can do to fix this? Or do I need to wait for an update?
Thank You in Advance!
Nick

]]>I have the Group Selector set up to give people the option of subscribing to either “General” group or “Bid Notification” group, but whenever someone signs up to receive notifications, they are always defaulted to “Public” group, even though I keep moving people out of that group so that the “Public” group doesn’t exist.

]]>Hi,
I’m using ‘Email Subscribers’ Version 3.2.7 with ‘Email Subscribers Group Selector’ Version 1.3.3 and ‘Rainmaker’ Version 0.17.
I have four groups ( all posts, trips and travel, food, polls) with 3 groups having different categories and the ‘all posts’ group having all categories. So ‘Food’ has restaurants, recipes etc. ‘Polls’ just has polls. ‘Trips and travels’ has hotels and travel. ‘All Posts’ has restaurants, recipes, polls, hotels & travel.
When I test with by subscribing with another email address it sends out 2 identical emails for ‘all posts’ and no emails for the other 3 groups ?
I did use the same email for each test but changed the name for each.
OK – it seems there is a conflict if I have 2 instances of email subscribers on my site. I had one at the end of each post in a widget area and the other in a post sidebar widget area. This was causing the 2 identical emails and also 2 instances of ‘the notification under the subscribe button in the green rectangle’ appearing under both subscribe buttons.
I then find when I have a group called, ‘all posts’ – selecting all categories that have previously been split between the other 3 groups – then it will not send emails to the other 3 groups just the ‘all posts’ group when selected. I thought it would be easier to have an ‘all posts’ selector rather than ticking all three separate selectors.
Any thoughts to fixing this ?

Trying to figure it out is hit and miss. Are there any step by step instructions on how to set this up to allow people to subscribe to only a single category?
The idea is that it will have its own page.
Thanks!
]]>Is there any way to send to multiple groups? If not, can this be a new feature? Then when an email is sent to multiple groups and the same email is in 2 or more groups, it only sends 1 email to that email address. Is this possible now?
Also, it might be nice to allow a subscriber to be assigned to multiple groups instead of what I am doing now which is created to subscribers with the same email address and putting them into different groups.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Greg
