Greetings developers and fellow users. This plugin looks very promising to what we are trying to accomplish with email reminders.
According to the documentation on how to create rules, you can import your contacts file in .csv format.
My contacts file has the following fields:
Name, email, phone number, submission date and pay status.
Pay status is either PAID or NOT PAID.
We would like to say, if pay status (our custom field) equals NOT PAID, then send a reminder after a certain period of time.
Here are the issues that I am having.
1, the imported file has labels (field names) jumbled into one cell. The values are separated by semi colon as per your requirement.
After importing file the file and saving to the database, they do not appear when I attempt to create a rule.
Please help me understand what I am doing wrong.
Thanks very much in advance.

]]>When I want to edit a contact, the email field and detail field become empty. Other fields are OK. So if I don’t re-enter those fields, the content is lost. Is there anything that can be done about that?
]]>I have a problem in that The Events Calendar plugin we are using for events does not send reminder emails x days before an event to the attendees. They have an addon called Promoter but that is unreliable as it will trash contacts without notification. We find our email sending from our website to be reliable (we use wpsmtp pro). What I am asking is, is it possible to set up the sending of scheduled reminder emails for event attendees (events created using The Events Calendar) using your plugin or can you recommend one? Thank you Tamsin

I want to asks users if they need any help with the process.

]]>My friend
i disable option – Enable / disable sending copy of this email notification to admin
but i always see this email
how can i disable it?
I’ve been months seeking, as time permits, simply something to send our Affiliates / Users a simple reminder when they haven’t logged in for “X” amount of days.
I was so hopeful this would work but have not found a way to add that into the code (and I am not much of a coder – or at all really, to start with).
But I do know how to edit the plug in (read copy / paste / and frankenstein the crap out of it), just not which file(s) to insert it into.

]]>Hello,
We have Booking Calendar + Email Reminders plugins and want to setup reminder 1 day before the event. Our setup is: default -> check_in = TODAY + 1 DAY
When we try to run the formule manually, reminders are not created and emails are not send, however contacts are on the list.
Where is the problem? It’s a server configuration or plugin misconfiguration? We tried on two separated installations.

]]>Sometimes the email reminders plugin sends two reminders. This is the case when an already approved booking has been cancelled and a new booking has been made. In that case both the old booking and the new booking cause a result from the rule.
It appears that cancelled bookings are not part of the “auto import” feature; or at least they do not trigger a change in the existing bookings (contacts) that can be used in for instance combined rules, that rule out the cancelled bookings (contacts).
Is there something that I overlooked, or is it a feature that has to be added to make this plugin complete?
]]>Hello,
I’m starting to work with this plugin and there are something that I can’t find,
Is there any option to create a form or suscription on my page and then that information of the user appears in Contacts?
Thank yo so much

Dear developers and fellow users of email-reminders,
I’ve been using booking calendar for quite some years to manage one booking each and every day. Now I found out about the email reminders plugin which can help us a lot by sending a reminder to the “booker” one day beforehand.
The idea is dat this happens automatically, which is what the plugin promisses to do.
The problem is that I don’t know how to configure this, so that the rules runs automatically each day, and one email is send each day, when my homepage is visited at least once a day.
This is what I tried:
So firstly I created a rule:
ID 2: Create email Default, if default -> check_in = TODAY + 1 DAY
and: Rule run starting with contact id 0
Second:
I placed two shortcodes on my website:
I put them on my homepage, so that the chance of a visitor is the biggest at least once a day and the shortcode should run:
[email-reminders-rule id=2 max_count=15000 is_silent=1]
[email-reminders-send max_count=15000 is_silent=1]
When I call my home page, it all works like a charm…..only the first time.
The next day I expect that it runs again automatically, but it doesn’t.
When I look at the rules page of the Email Reminders plugin, it shows:
Finished, last run: the date and time of yesterday, and Last Checked Contact Id 4628
When I use is_silent = 1, the comment on the webpage shows:
Finish checked at contact id: 4628
Sent 0 emails
When I open the rule to edit it, the rule shows has changed in : Rule run starting with contact ID 4628. I don’t understand why that has been changed since I created the rule as starting with contact ID 0.
I hope that someone has managed to setup the email reminders plugin the way that I want it to work and can share his/her experience.
Best
