This plugin used to work, but it hasn’t been updated in nearly a decade, and it doesn’t work with newer versions of WordPress. A question about ongoing development went unanswered, so I guess that’s all the answer you need. This plugin is dead.

Email notfication on updating a specific post is what I need.
In the GUI I cannot configure the ID of a specific post where I need the alert so I had to adapt the code. This works for me, now.

Nice work and also fulfilled my requirement.

This plugin has near no settings – you can only select e-mails to which an e-mail will be sent after any post/page change. That’s all.

I have it only enabled on a custom post type. Tried several times…nothing. Really wanted it to work. :/

Works. Does what it says and provides a helpful highlighted email that captures the changes made. Very useful tool for a nonprofit website I created recently where volunteers maintain the content, but staff wanted a simple way to make sure odd things weren’t introduced. Wish it handled custom post types, too. But it is perfect for pages and posts!

It does what it says it does — i like it!
My main reason for getting this plugin was, as admin, to see when an article was posted by editor(s) so i could download images for backup. But i’m finding that i really like that editing diff display, editors and i can see exactly what edits we made.
Would like it to email for custom post types as well. It did pick up a custom post type on one of my websites, but not on the others. Don’t know if there’s something i need to do in coding on my side to make that happen?
thank you!

Helpful for keeping users/editors up to date with post changes as they happen. works best for html email clients.
one thing to remember.. the received email is not WYSIWYG but coloured changes and includes the mark up to.
It would be nice to see an option to distribute changes once a day or once a week (until a different editor starts making changes) rather than for each time an editor hits the publish button. If they are trigger happy with that button you can get loads of emails of they micro edits.. Having the option would lessen the number of emails received but still give you a less-frequent diff of the overall changes.
Great work ??

Installed this as an add-on to Role Based Help Notes. Nice combination to keep documentation up to date and notified when updates are made by authors.

Excellent plugin. You can select if it notifies when a Page, Post and/or both is notified. You can select which of your users are notified (one, two, several, all or none), plus you can enter in additional emails addresses that notification emails to out to. The email notifications go out immediately and are well formatted, with both “BEFORE” and “AFTER text” included. Any additions/deletions of the text are highlighted in red and green highlithing. Fantastic plugin.

Just works, and it includes a nice delta overview in the Email.
Make sure to enable drafts to also receive new Posts.
