Unfortunately like some of the other recent reviews, we too are now getting ‘plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error‘ message. Its a shame as it worked well when it was working on previous version of WordPress.

I had a few problems setting up, but Support quickly answered my requests for help and got me up and running. Recommended for what it promises and what it does. Takes a little effort to get familiar with the plugin but worth doing so.

I think it could be good or maybe I am completely missing something but I cannot see how to create the links for the downloads. I fill out the info on the Email Before Download, but nothing happens. There is zero direction.

Original: Guys, I really appreciate your plugin and am still using it after having made several modifications.
The only reason I give one star is that there have been no updates in THREE YEARS! and it is more and more unstable. I will happily give it five stars again after a successful update.

Hello sir,
I have an issue while downloading my pdf file… after submitting the form, a downloading option is working and then, after a minute its expiring is good… but without refreshing a page, I filling the form download option code showing twice why? is there any solution. kindly help me to rectify it!!!

Unfortunately it seems to break with PHP7.

Please could the plugin be updated ASAP for PHP7 compatibility by the author?
Failing that, if anyone else knows how to correct this for PHP7 with a simple patch, I’d love to hear about it!

Had to change my rating from one star to five stars because I was using it wrong. If you’re like me, you want to set it up to have the link/file downloaded so the user can’t use a fake email address to get the download (what use is a fake email address to you?) This worked for WP 4.7. I wish you could add a feature where email sent includes verification link to verify user’s email. And a feature that can block disposable email hosts.

This worked very well to begin with, was fairly easy to set up, and did the job as intended. However recently it has stopped working although I have not made any changes that i am aware of – perhaps automatic updates have taken place somewhere. It no longer works – when the user clicks on the link to send the form, instead of a download link appearing, they are returned to the blank form. In fairness this plugin is shown in the directory as not tested with my version of WP, but it used to work OK!

Have to say that this is a great app! The best part about this, for me, is its integration with Contact Form 7. I use cf7 often, and so I can create more than just a name and email field as a requirement for the download.

This plugin seems like a good idea but unfortunately doesn’t seem to work on all platforms. I tested it on a PC running Windows Vista in firefox and it worked perfectly. It was then tested on Windows 7 PCs in multiple browsers and the download link failed to appear after the email address was submitted (although the email confirmation was sent properly). I tried everything to get the download to work to no avail so I gave up (after hours) and downloaded Form Maker which does exactly what I need.
