Probably this could be easily fixed in an update.

Full Page Scanner since Elementor 3.18 leading to a problem, that only 2 images get shown out of gallery widgets. 3.18 works together with only wordpress filters but not full page scanner. And full page scanner works till 3.17. Till is not reachable so far.

“Please note: Chrome’s Developer Tools, Safari’s Web Inspector and others automatically decode decimal and hexadecimal entities. You need to look at the “plain HTML source code”.

Umm….wouldn’t this be an easy way for hackers/spammers/robots to find the email addresses?

Sorry, I’m not hi-tech!…but just thought it might be an easy way to reap obfuscated email addresses!

Just looking at this plugin for the first time and have a quick question.

I can see how links and text can be encoded but can’t see any guides how to encode any existing text & links with a style attribute for example:

The plugin changes the output of the jSON file for structured data, making it unparsable. Some unicode characters are added to the content.

The jSON is loaded via shortcode together with the whole content.

We already tested, and if EAE is deactivated, the structured data becomes immediately correct.

Is there a way to exclude this from being scanned?

Hello Till, I have the problem that after I activating your plugin a site opens with a cookie banner. When I go back to the WP Backend >> Plugins, your plugin is deactivated again. The site is hosted on Ionos (I think it has more to do with the hosting?). Do you maybe have a work around to fix this?

I have been using your plugin on my site. Now when I am adding WooCommerce, there is a weird scenario happened.
Steps to regenerate:
1. Go to shop page when login.
2. Go to any product page.
3. Back to shop page using the browser back button.
So when you are coming back to product page, it is displaying that you are not logged in. Also, any functions that are running on basis on conditions that users logged in is not running properly. After giving a page refresh everything will started working properly.

I have also checked this with a default woocommerce setup where only woocommerce and email-address-encoder plugin is available and active.

Hope to get a fix quick.

Before buying I want to ask if this plugin effects in any way the pagespeed of the website. Does the plugin only search one time for the e-mail-adresses or keeps searching the whole time?

How do you auto-encode phone numbers same way it does for emails on full pages?

I must use different method than short code [encode] due to the sections phone numbers appear in.

Is the Email Address Encoder plugin been tested by anyone and known to be compatible running under PHP 8.1? If so, what version of Email Address Encoder plugin is compatible with PHP 8.1?

Any way to ignore one email. Not the same email every time. Trying to pass an email to jquery, but it’s coming out as hex.

Hey. I just realised the plugin works in the_content and in my ACF-fields but not in the_content of a CPT. Is there a function hack aswell?

I use a plugin called WP Store Locator to provide a registry for clubs in my country. The registry have separate posts for each club with contact info that is displayed both in the club registry page and when clicking on a specific club. I managed to encode the email addresses that was previously shown, by purchasing your Premium plugin, but that didn’t help for the phone numbers.
If I try to use [encode][/encode] around the phone number in the back end, the anchor tag is looking like this <a href="+46[encode]700998877[/encode]"> and then the link text is encoded as it should be, but the link is not working, which is understandable due to the shortcode tags present.
So any tips on how to protect the phone numbers and preferably without having to edit all clubs in the registry ??

Hi Till, the Email Address Encoder plugin removes the target=”_blank” attribute from (external) links in the navigation.

This attribute can be enabled / disabled via the WordPress Menu dashboard (/wp-admin/nav-menus.php).

However, the Email Address Encoder plugin removes the attribute. Can you please look into this?
