How would I add these shortcodes into a menu link?

I have added [edd_cart_has_contents]Checkout[/edd_cart_has_contents] in the description box and it does not hide the label when the cart is empty

Is there an option for showing specific content if a user has not purchased a specific download?

or [!edd_user_hast_purchased ids=”20″] Content [/edd_user_has_purchased]
