I have been using Easy WP Meta Descriptons and greatly appreciate that each page can have a different description. I wonder if a second text entry box could allow entry of different meta keywords in the same way or if maybe there is some technical reason why not. Whilst I am new to web design, I have developed software since 1969 and learnt many languages culminating in C++ on the Mac but wonder if PHP is too different. I certainly struggle with the non linear nature of execution of CSS, HTML and Javascript. I have maintained programs with a million lines of source code before I retired. How many lines is this plugin and can I try cloning it and make it do what I need even if its just for myself?
]]>Hi using your plugin with WP Twenty-Twenty-One v1.8. It’s working fine but I get a warning notice saying ‘not been tested’ with my version of WP. Is it ok to keep using it? Find it very useful.
]]>Hello.
Thank you for a cool and simple plugin for meta description. Please use esc_attr() when you are printing content inside any HTML attribute (otherwise a double quote in the content will close the attribute) and use esc_textarea() when printing content inside a textarea HTML tag. There is also esc_html() for content inside other tags different than textarea, but I didn’t notice such a place in your plugin.
Regards.

]]>Hi,
First, thank you for providing such an easy plugin. I like it because of its simplicity.
I noticed that in some cases Google does not see the description and uses first two sentences of the text instead.
Some other pages (on a same website) are working fine.
Where or what could be the cause?
Thank you!

]]>Sorry for my basic question, but how do I make the post description appear on the single.php page?
]]>This is either a feature request or request for a tip – it would be great to change the order where the description box is loaded, especially to the bottom of the admin page below other custom fields added to the site.
Thanks!
]]>I am having trouble with the Meta Description. It is showing the captions of my photo gallery. I have downloaded the Easy WP meta Description plugin but it is not changing the information in the Meta description. I am using oceanWP theme with Elementor as a developing tool.

]]>Hello Sir,
This plugin seems to be my first choice, have all I wanted light and easy. Can you update it soon? Hope provide continue support.
Thanks in advance!
]]>Hi
I like your plugin, it does what I really want without the need of a full SEO package. But… what are your intentions?
I’ve been using…
<meta name="description" content="<?php echo strip_tags(get_the_excerpt());?>">
And it works ok for pages, but for posts is unsuitable because I use ‘the excerpt’ as teasers for feeds and so a meta description which uses the excerpt isn’t ideal.
Can this be used with a conditional statement to apply only to posts and not pages, with something like…
<meta name="description" content="<?php
if ( is_single() ) { WHAT DO I ADD HERE? }
else { echo strip_tags(get_the_excerpt()); }
?>" />
]]>
I’ve just started using your plugin.
Seems good.
Thanks for developing it.
Is there a way to use it to add its output differently… in the body of an archive-type page which lists post titles and dates? This can be useful for providing a quick guide to the post content.
]]>I understand how to use your plugin to add meta descriptions to the pages that I’ve created on my website. But can I also use your plugin to add meta information to the homepage of my website? And if so, how? Specifically, here’s my problem: when I used the SEO Analyzer at Bing Webmaster Tools to test my website, the test results indicated that I needed to add a head description to my homepage. Can I use this plugin to add a head description to the homepage? If so, how?
Thanks!
