The A2Hosting.com plugin, A2 Optimized WP, uses the Easy Hide Login plugin.
When Optimization > Security > Login URL Change (aka the Easy Hide Login plugin) is enabled, users can’t change their passwords because it goes to a 404.
When using the generated slug of https://example.com/?abcd, it goes to https://example.com/wp-login.php?abcd&redirect=false.
If you choose “Lost your password”, it goes to:
https://example.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword&abcd&redirect=false
Entering a valid email and clicking on “Get New Password” goes straight to a 404 page.
How can this be fixed?
Thank you

]]>Hello,
I accidentally deleted the plugin folder and lost the slug after changing it. How can I remove the rest of the code to login again?
Thank you!
]]>Hi, All:
I experienced this issue recently and solved it. I am posting here to help others who encounter this behavior. WordPress version 5.8.2
It is caused by the admin verification that happens at intervals right after logging in. You can disable this verification nag by using this code in functions.php https://www.intelliwolf.com/disable-wordpress-admin-email-verification/
Hope this helps.
]]>It worked when I first installed it, I loved it, users loved it, life was good. A year or so into using it, we can’t access the custom slug we created. We accessed the site via “mysite.com{/slug-pattern}”, but that no longer works. It seems I now have to use “mysite.com{?slug-pattern}”, which is a change I didn’t expect or want. How can we change this back?
]]>After successful implentation and using it for a few months, we noticed we had zero new users registering. Just testing this out after we received reports- trying to register new users just fails and reloads the page. Unfortunately we have to stop using this plugin immediately until it’s resolved. Otherwise it worked pretty good.
]]>I downloaded this plug in and wrote the new slug down and now when I want log in to work on my site I get the 404 page.
How can I recover from this?
]]>I put my wordpress into recovery mode, but when I clicked on the “Exit recovery mode” button, it redirected me to a 404. Then I disabled Easy Hide Login and it worked!
]]>I installed it in a multisite.
My site site is working fine.
But all of my network sites are not working.
Is there any solutions to this?

When I disable Easy Hide Login plugin facebook login works, but once enabled it shows 404 error page.
I think it has something to do with redirect.

]]>Hi, congratulations, this is a great plugin.
I am new using it, one problem I am facing is because I want my users to be registered to be able to comment. Now, when trying to register, it will redirect to non protected link and a 404 error page is shown.
Please help me!
It redirects to the 404 also the ?action=postpass pages
]]>I just installed this plug in. I changed my slug text. I copied the text to make sure I had it correct. Now I get the 404 error page when I use my slug and when i try wp-admin. I even tried to log in through the our job board and I get the same error. How can I fix this??
]]>Hi,
The users cannot reset their password, because the slug text is not included in the emailed link…
Thanks for the plugin anyway!
I just updated to WordPress 5.3, and the login redirects to a 404 page. Going to /wp-admin/ will bring up the Dashboard after logging in..
]]>Hello

]]>Changed the slug for the admin page but it’s always showing the message “Your login page is now here: https://domain.ext/?slug. Bookmark this page!” How can I get rid of that message? There’s no close box and there’s no reason to keep showing it.
]]>Hi,
May I know how to uninstall the plugin from the database?
Thanks
]]>Hi, great plugin. I love it. If you accept suggestions for upcoming features, I will suggest reCapcha implementation at the login page and easy background and login customization. For example to change the look of the login, instead of WordPress logo at login, the user can change the logo to match the site or the company, the same can be applied for example for the logging button – simple color customization to match the site. Thanks
]]>.submit:hover is affecting all button inside the admin site
]]>If I deactivate or uninstall the plugin I get this error:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘easy_hide_login_hidden_field’ not found or invalid function name in /MYDIRECTORY/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286
As soon as I activate or upload the plugin again the error disappears, however I no longer need it.
Can you please advise how to remove the plugin without an error?
]]>Hi
I like your plugin because it is lightweight and 404 error pages still function correctly.
There is just one problem – I cannot logout. I have to quit and relaunch the browser to be sure I am logged out of admin.
Would be great to have a fix for this.
Thanks
