Hello first of all thank for making this useful plugin.
My problem is that my files are huge, so I upload them on a cloud server.
Is there a possibility to actually input the dl link and not having to upload the file on my website’s server.
Thanks again.

Hi,
We are testing the plugin in sandbox mode. Everything seems to be fine – we have transaction ID, the connection with paypal seems to work well, the website is public. Still I do not receive email with the download link. What could be the problem?
Cheers,
Yuliana
I’m having trouble getting this to show up on my post or page. Page link is below, i’ve included the shortcode, but still nothing is showing up.. i’m at a loss.. Ive tried everything i can think of.

Help!
]]>Hey,
I have the following problem:
I’m in Sandbox mode, uploading the file, creating the button, everything’s easily done. The PayPal transaction works (seller gets the money). Only thing missing is the automated email. The transaction doesn’t show up in your plugin’s transaction overview and my email logging plugin shows no outgoing emails. It seems like the ipn.php doesn’t get a response or it doesn’t work correctly.
The error occured after I updated to your newest version. Before the update everything worked fine. To ensure that the problem doesn’t lie on my side, I set up WordPress completely new and only inserted your plugin and the logging plugin.
Facts:
-Sending emails from WordPress work (verified with WP SMTP plugin)
-PayPal Sandbox shows that the transactions happened
-Your plugin’s ipn.php is accessible
-No Email logged for the transaction
-No transaction visible in the overview
Can you give me any advice to fix this problem? Your plugin is really awesome and I don’t want to miss it since there is no other plugin which offers exactly the same features!!!
Thank you very much in advance!
Keep up the good work,
John
Hello,
Today i installed your Paypal Easy digital shop.
Everything works fine, but i can’t see download link after payment.
I created new page, added a button with price there, then in Settings “Thank you page / return page after the checkout process is completed” bar i chosen this page, also in paypal “Website Payment Preferences” i set “Auto Return”.
What else should i do, that in this page after payment i will see this:
Dear $first_name $last_name,
thank you for buying the file $post_title.
You may download it here:
$downloadlink
Kindest regards
$blogname
Please help me. What else i should do see this after payment?

Thanks.
]]>Hello,
thank you for your plugin, it does exactly what I was looking for.
I have a small request: could you please add the possibility to specify in the settings the sender name (currently ‘Shop’) and the default mail address for sender (currently ‘shop@’)?
At the moment I’m doing those changes manually in ipn.php page, but I’d like to keep my settings also after plugin updates.
Many thanks and keep up the good work!
Matteo
]]>Hi, how come the the ‘Buy Now’ button only appear on 1st post of my blog https://www.grandmediaservices.com/lwt/ ? How to make it appear on every posts?
]]>The EU has introduced some new VAT rules on digital downloads from 1st January 2015 where anyone selling digital downloads to a resident of the EU has to collect and account for VAT on the sale based on the VAT rate for the country in which the purchaser is resident (even if the seller is located outside of the EU!)
This is a real headache and many people have removed plugins such as this as a result, as they cannot comply with the EU requirements.
Basically, the plugin would need to be updated in the following way:
a) Capture the IP address of the buyer
b) Ask the buyer to select their country of residence from a drop down list.
c) If the IP address country does not match the chosen country of residence, then the seller will probably wish to refuse to sell (as they cannot ascertain the correct VAT rate to apply).
d) If the buyer’s country matches the seller’s country, then the seller needs to be able to decide whether or not to charge VAT on this (as they may not actually be required to charge VAT on domestic purchases, depending on their own country’s rules).
e) (the hard bit) – look up the VAT rate applicable to the buyer’s country and adjust the prices shown accordingly (as VAT rates can vary substantially). There is no official lookup – but one has been created at https://jsonvat.com/ (which hopefully will be kept up to date). The seller will need to decide on which VAT rate (standard or reduced) to use for each country for each item they sell (!) as it depends if it an ebook or something else.
f) Pass the net amount and the VAT amount to PayPal for processing (so the seller knows how much VAT has been collected).
g) Allow admin access to see a list of purchases made, with countries chosen, IP addresses and VAT rates used / amount collected – need to be able to extract this by date so that the seller can complete their return for the specific quarter.
Due to the complexity, it may be worth adding this as a chargeable version of the plugin.
