I’m new so be gentle.

I’m running EDD + Free downloads paid extension + CSV manager. I’m trying to upload 140 jpegs from server, saved in the wp content / uploads / edd folder, with no subfolders, using Fire FTP. Have created CSV and uploaded via Tools, and mapped the fields as follows:-

file name – abc.jpeg (file names)
directory (just in case?!) – /public_html/wp-content/uploads/edd/abc.jpg (unmapped – appears to have no corresponding field to map to)
title – abc (product name)
author id – my website (author ID)

It says it has been successful but I cant see any changes at all.
Help would be really appreciated

Hi,

I use and love the CSV manager to import products. It saves a lot of time creating the catalog of products.

I have installed the EDD Variable Pricing Descriptions plugin from Sumobi, and would like to set the variable option and add the descriptions using the CSV importer. At the moment the CSV importer does not add those database fields and I need to go into every item and add the variable stuff, which takes a long time for 100’s of items.

How easy would it be to add the extra values when importing the CSV?

Downloads Exist, but When Download Attempted After a Purchase, 403 Error

Hi team,

Thanks for your help with the last problem we had. The import appeared to be successful, but when a product uploaded via CSV is purchased and the user attempts to download the PDF, they receive a 403 Forbidden message.

To test out the cause of the problem, I went into the admin panel, found the product and under “Download Files” tried “Add New File” and in the Media window selected the already-uploaded PDF that I had pointed to in the CSV upload. I confirmed that the File Name is the same and the File URL is the same as that set in the CSV upload.

When I clicked “Update”, and went to my downloads page (as a user), I now had two file options. If I clicked on the former link (i.e. that set by the CSV import), it returned the 403 error. But if I clicked the latter link (i.e. that set manually through the admin panel), it successfully downloaded the PDF.

I looked at the URLs, and they are almost identical:

The only differences are the ID number and the token.

This makes me think that CSV upload is somehow setting the wrong token, or otherwise not communicating that a purchase of a particular product entitles the owner to that PDF.

_edd_files > Download Files (or File Names; when I try it with this it imports but without any file associated with the product)

_edd_images > Unmapped (I got a security error when I tried mapping this)
post_name > Post Name
post_status > Status

Hi. I tried to import the linked CSV file. After I click import I get this:

Then, on the next page I get this message:

Import completed successfully!

But there are no products.

Any thoughts?

Also, the test CSV doesn’t include headers, so I am not sure what each of the columns are, so I just kind of guessed through.

How can I export Product with variable pricing?

I sell images.
I set a litter size of the images such as 1920px as free to download. And I set the original file a different price, such as 9.99. But When I export it to a csv file. There only 0 in the COLUMN of price.

After I import the csv, I got a batch of products with 0 to get 3 files.

BTW, I want to import about 2000 products in one csv. But it can not to be successfully to import them all. It alway import 300 to 500 products.

CSV Sales Export/Import with ID

Hi ??

we are exporting our sales via CSV and saw that the data is assigned via the “product name”. Since we have a lot of music sounds that can have the same “product name”, these names are not unique.
Is there a way to assign the data via post id? (because id’s are unique)

Products failing to import because the file cannot be found

Hi,

The plugin is returning the error message:

“One or more files failed to import!
· The file COMPANY1-20151031.pdf cannot be found on line 2.”
(Line 2 is the final line)

In fact, all files failed to import.

There is a PDF file at: https://mywordpresssite.com.au/wp-content/uploads/edd/COMPANY1-20151031.pdf (although it was technically uploaded through the native uploader and an extension that allows the destination folder to be set, not FTP)

The CSV file looks like this when opened in Notepad:

Hi there ??

I created different CSV files on my own & also exported products from the same page. When I import it, I try to fillout every id, so that no one is left on “unmapped”

But whatever I try, the products appear under “All(38)” as a number, but they dont exist. Could you tell me what I do wrong, or how to do it, I really need the plugin!

Recent update broke my workflow

Prior to this recent update, I had found a workflow which made the most of the CSV Plugin and taxed my shared server the least both in terms of storage and computational abilities.

I would first edit and save a group of full-resolution photos, name them sequentially, and FTP them to the appropriate fodler (e.g. /uploads/edd/2015/10). Then I’d batch-reduced all those pictures to a set resolution (max 1000 pixels at widest/tallest), and FTP them to the appropriate folder (e.g. /uploads/2015/10). Then I’d run the plugin, approx 120 photos at a time, and bam. It works.

Now, the CSV manager is ignoring the reduced images in /uploads and attaching the large, full-res image as featured photo for the download. Not what I want.

I tried again, using the built-in WP content uploader for the reduced images, but the same thing happened. Due to the filesize, this is causing my server to bog down after 10 downloads. Also, since the Featured is also the same as the Download, I can no longer have a seperate watermarked image unless I use the annoying watermark plugin OR manually re-configure eacha nd every featured image.

Can I reinstall the previous version and get my workflow back?

I am very new to this. I have installed the csv manager plugin, bu tried to upload some items that I have on my Media gallery but they seem to not work.

I created a csv with these headers:
the name,
price,
file location(URL showing on the media gallery)
Image location(URL showing on the media gallery)

Does it have to have any special format?.What do I include as a minimum? Does the header name care? When I imported it said it was ok, but when checking under downloading NOTHING new showed up.

I have to upload 1900+ ebooks to my downloads to post them on the products page and 1 by 1 will take me YEARS!!!

Any advise? or any video where I can see this?

My name is Panayiota Neohoritou and I’m working on a store locally in my PC.
I have already imported about 8000 products using csv manager and I think it’s great.Today I’m facing a problem though…
I tried to use “Export Products to CSV” and it gives me an error message:

My csv file has the second column set to date of post and I have inputted the date as follows: 08/15/2014. Is there some type of format needed that I’m not using.

Also do I need to have the header row listed during the import or is it enough that I have all of the columns mapped to the column letters?

I am unable to set a featured image. If I set a filename in the “image file” column, I seem to get a very small version of the image…
I have to go and edit the download and choose “Add Media” and pick the same file i was trying to import in the “image file” column from the “Set Featured Image”. At that point the image selected displays its size and it works… Wondering if there is a fix for that to avoid having to manually input featured images…

I have created a csv file with headers, but when I upload it, the headers appear in a horizontal row ‘id’,’category’,’title’,’description’,’f…. so how do I select each one to map it to the correct field?

Is it possible to see the fields required – edit my data – then upload it without the headers?

Hi, thanks for the recent update for this plugin but it seems I’m now having a new problem on import. I created a list of 1000 products. They all have post dates from 2006-2014. Unfortunately some dates aren’t being uploaded correctly and are uploading as the date 1970-01-01. Only maybe 200 are correct.

Could you please look into this issue.
