The plugin looked promising but unfortunately there is no documentation how to use it. There are some videos but I only understand every second word and the videos are not structured. I could not find a single video that explains the steps from my CSV file to an imported wordpress post. The narrator keeps showing screens saying they are complicated but I do not need to worry about it?

I also do not know whether this plugin supports custom types as there is no documentation. After about 30 min I stopped trying to figure this out.

My recommendation is to try a different importer until there is any kind of documentation available.

First, when I recieved my copy of the plugin Easy CSV Importer, I hurried to install and use it.
After installation, I hurried to import datas from my CSV.
I thought that for one click, I can import all datas from CSV by using this plugin.
The settings were a little bit difficult to understand. But after some time, I understood that it is a professional tool for importing datas from CSV file.
If to try to understand what the plugin can do, you can do anything with your datas.
Easy CSV Importer is very functional and powerful plugin who work with complicated CSV datas. Therefore I recommend it to those people who are seeking a really powerful CSV Iport plugin for WordPress.

First and MOST important. I would suggest you all get some very detailed documentation together. There is none here, I visited your site, nothing.

I have watched all of the videos at youtube, literally all of them. And thought WOW, now I’ll be able to finally import my 1000’s of fields of data.. ONLY to find out no page imports? Posts only, Really?

Next, I already have a good number custom fields created, I just simply need to map columns of data (originally xls converted to csv). Only to find out it’s not possible? Yea, I can see where a limit of 5 are possible to be created with your plugin. No thanks, I ALREADY have 25 and thought your plugin BECAUSE of the way your description reads and with ALL of those videos you have at youtube are basically for your paid version.

I have no problem with that at all, BUT I wish I would have not spent hours examining your plugin and watching all of those videos only to find out 95% of it has nothing to do with this version of your plugin!

So hopefully my preliminary review will save the next person time if they are thinking that your plugin does anything even remotely close to what your YouTube videos show. And the lack of details in the plugin’s description in reference to not what the plugin does, but more importantly what it DOES NOT do.. leaves me forced to deactivate and delete until I can do more than just the few things this plugin does:
1. Create posts
2. Only able to create up to and only 5 custom fields BUT not populate my own that are already created.
3. Create categories.

In a nutshell, if these limitations were in your description and or I had saw how limited this version is in your youtube videos.. I would have never wasted the time.

None of the old feedback or reviews apply to this new edition, positive or negative. The plugin was totally re-developed by Ryan Bayne. So it is a fresh start and I write the first review to signal this.

It’s truly easy and enjoyable to use. The old ads and demo like functionality is gone. The plugins profile here on www.remarpro.com cannot be reset and Ryan the author decided to see it’s turnaround as a challenge.

I thought it was only fair that I write the first review and make it about the fact that the old plugin is gone as of July 2013!
