The plugin isn’t working correctly anymore. A message to update is STILL being shown, though:
“The license key “xxxxxxxxxxxxx” has become deactive for the site “https://mysite.org”. Please activate it again.”
However, It should probably be purged from WP.org. This plugin’s website is dead, although the developer’s website is still active.
Hope this helps,
Andre
]]>I’m happily using Easing Slider on several sites, but WordFence (and the WordPress plugin directory) keeps flagging this plugin as obsolete… Is the plugin still safe to use since it hasn’t evidently been updated in over 3 years? I would suggest some mechanism(s) for plugins that are perfectly fine to use, even if they haven’t been updated in a few years, so that I wouldn’t be tempted to replace the plugin for another that has more frequent updates, only because the plugin is flagged as “abandoned” … Any suggestions? This is really a more general question for the entire WP plugin ecosystem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! ??

After having updated my slider on the home page, after 24 hours the slider has been reset to its previous state before the update, the slides are no longer present and I have to redone my work, It’s very frustrating, I’m using the version 3.0.7 of the plugin.
Thanks for your response.
]]>I set the slider to responsive but the image is still to big for my phone horizontal view.
Any suggestions?
I could update my WordPress but there are so many plugins that have not been tested with newer versions.
]]>Last week I discovered that the Easing Slider plugin – which worked fine for several weeks after I built a homepage slider on both this live site (https://awakening-together.org/) and a corresponding (staging) development site (https://awakening-together.org/dev2/) – appears to have stopped working, now showing only the shortcode [easingslider id=”21442″] where previously the 4-slide slider appeared and worked just fine for a month or so… Thinking it might have been a recent plugin update that was no longer compatible, I disabled ALL plugins except Easing Slider on the dev2 site, and that didn’t seem to help. I then restored a full (file and DB) backup from over a week ago (when another user and myself both saw it working fine) and that didn’t seem to help either. I even tried replicating the slideshow with another plugin (Meta Slider) which now shows “[metaslider id=”21436″]” instead of the slider which ALSO looks just fine in preview mode. Both of these sliders seem to work fine on other sites I use them on, and keep up with plugin updates. Any suggestions as to why the “Home Top” widget area suddenly just shows the shortcode instead of running it? I can see an archived version (14Sep2017) of the site working (except for 2 missing slides) here:
https://web.archive.org/web/20170914092744/https://awakening-together.org/
Thanks in advance for any clues!
Hello,
I use the plugin on my Website and I would like to update my Website to WordPress 4.7.5 but I am afraid the plugin will not work since it is supposed to be compatible with WordPress 4.6.6 only. Can someone tell me if the plugin could work with the latest WordPress version anyway?
Is Easing Slider still active and supported? I have some questions about the commercial add-ons (which I’ve licensed but they stopped working) and I am getting no response from the ES website or support email address. Is the product abandoned, to anyone’s knowledge?

]]>Hi Matthew,
I noticed this today, and I know you will want to know if this is a tiny bug.
3 of the 4 slides in my installation of Easing Slider on this page
https://soazseniorpride.org/
are custom linked to a post on that site (set up using the Easing Slider dashboard). The custom linking works superbly 99% of the time, BUT if I go to a slide by clicking on one of the navigation buttons at the bottom of the slider, I am unable to then click the slide to go to the linked post.
That’s it.
All best,
Susan
Hi Matthew,
Just wondering if Easing Slider provides the feature to pause the slider when hovering over a slide, or if there is way to get it to work that way?
Thanks,
Susan
I’ve got 3.0.8 running on on WordPress 4.7.1, along with various other plug-ins.
It keeps getting deactivated — I have to re-activate it again, and then it works fine for a while, typically a day or so.
I can’t find any relevant messages in the logs, even with WP_DEBUG set to true.
I’m not sure how to go about solving it. Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
]]>Hello Matthew,
Thank you for your work on this Plugin.
Just a quick bug report and bug fix.
BTW, I’m using v3.0.8 at the time of this post.
I receive a PHP Notice:
Undefined variable: editor_id in […]\easing-slider\src\Plugin\Admin\MediaButton.php on line 78
You’ll notice, the function on line 61 of MediaButton.php:
public function displayButton()
which is a callback for the ‘media_buttons’ hook, which as you know passes the $editor_id as an argument, however the displayButton function is missing the $editor_id parameter. It should be changed to:
public function displayButton($editor_id)
Thanks
]]>When I test the latest update with responsive, the images are not resizing correctly.
On chrome the images can be seen to the right of the slider area.
On firefox this doesnt happen but images also do not resize correctly when the browser viewport is resized.
We use Pantheon professional managed WordPress hosting and Easing Slider both fails to install correctly (“The plugin generated 135 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin”) and fails when calling admin-ajax.php
during attempts to a slide.
It works in my local install but fails when moved to Pantheon. You can get a free account at Pantheon to test so it should be very easy to duplicate.
I was asked by an NPR Radio station to recommend a slider but given these issues I won’t be considering Easing Slider so it is not going to cause me issues if you don’t fix it. But you probably want to fix it for others who host on Pantheon and try your plugin only to have it fail. Not everyone will do to the effort to report errors like I am doing. They will just go away and that’s just fewer prospects to sell your add-ons to and you won’t even know it.
Hope this helps.
]]>As said, auto updated this plug-in and no longer have a drop shadow under the images which I really liked. Actually even made a custom shadow. Now can no longer find that option. Please advise and restore this feature if it is missing.
Thanks.

]]>Hi Matthew,
today I have updated Easing Slider from ver. 2.2 (that worked just fine) to the latest version: 3.0.8. I waited a long time to update because all the version after 2.2 have a big problem. The images don’t refresh correctly.
Try to go to my site: https://www.webfoodculture.com ad resize the page, or just open it in a tablet or a smart phone, switching from portrait to landscape mode, and you’ll understanmd what I mean.
I really don’t know if to back again to ver.2.2 is the right coourse of action, please let me know what’s going wrong.
Many thanks in advance.

]]>Hi,
The textdomain(easingslider) and plugin-slug(easing-slider) is different.
This results in a plugin, that are expecting easingslider-da_DK.mo, but translate.www.remarpro.com outputs easing-slider-da_DK.mo
So translations from translate.wp.org doesn’t work.
Change plugin-slug or a better solution may be to change the textdomain and import existing .mo/.po files into translate.wp.org

Hello, I have the latest version of WordPress + Easing Slider 3.0.8. I use WP CLI for my projects. It seems that the plugin causes some problems to it.
Could you please change the path to the autoloader in the file easing-slider/easing-slider.php
to require_once(dirname(__FILE__) . '/vendor/autoload.php');
. It remains the same and solves the bug with WP CLI.
Thank you.

]]>I have sliders in version Easing Slider Pro 2.0.7, and in the slider Dimensions settings it has “Make this slideshow responsive.” With this ticked, the slider is responsive. In Google developer tools, each slider has a max-width set.
On another website, I have Easing Slider 3.0.8 installed, but in the Dimensions settings there is Make 100% full width, Crop and Resize Images and Enable Adaptive Height. None of these make the slider responsive. There is no max-width set for each image in the slider. This website has around 15 sliders setup for various pages.
This is a serious issue, can you please advise how to now make sliders responsive again, and if not when this can be sorted.
Thanks.
I use Cloudflare on my site and the EasingSlider plugin just breaks, showing “base.options is undefined” in the console, if I don’t check the “Load in Footer” option.
Adding attribute data-cfasync=”false” to the script tag in easingslider_inline_script function solves the problem.
in version 2 was field: ‘easingslider_lite_slider_id’
how i do in v3 ?
mycode:
$courses_blog_id = get_current_blog_id();
$query = “(
SELECT
option_value as sliderid
FROM
wp_{$courses_blog_id}_options
WHERE
option_name = ‘easingslider_lite_slider_id’

global $wpdb;
$sliderid = $wpdb->get_var($query);
echo $sliderid;

I have a number of sites using Easing Slider and have noticed an issue where they now flash or have a ball loading between each slide. There is no longer a smooth transition and not just on one site.
Examples are:

https://kwaterski.com/

Everything worked before, but something changed.
Thanks for you help.

I’m helping a client who has this plugin installed on many sites and after she upgraded to WordPress 4.6.1 and Easing Slider 3.0.8 the sizing of the slider images is wrong. They are too big for the container so are getting cut off.
Is it possible to get an downgraded version of your plugin?
Thank you
