Hi Dynamic Widget Content Folks,

I’m using WordPress 6.2.4 and Dynamic Widget Content Version 1.3.4 (my organization has yet to grant approval for the latest version of the plugin), and when I’m on a Post or Page, I’m not able to see the Dynamic Widget Content Meta Box (as a way to change the “Widget Title” and “Widget Content” for each Post/Page). What happens is, on each Post/Page, upon clicking the “Options” button in the upper right (the three dots) –> Dynamic Widget Content, the Options drop-down menu closes but I do not see the Dynamic Widget Content Meta Box as I expect. I’m also unable to pin “Dynamic Widget Content” to the Toolbar and press this button to display the Dynamic Widget Content Meta Box.

Could you please advise if there’s another means to see the Dynamic Widget Content Meta Box on each Post/Page other than the Options drop-down menu and/or Toolbar?

Hi Dynamic Widget Content Folks,

I’m researching your plugin on PHP 8.1.23 and WordPress 6.5.4 and I wanted to confirm what the differences are between Widget Title/Widget Content and a traditional Gutenberg Heading and Paragraph block. Does content rendered by Widget Title/Widget Content have a benefit/use case as compared to traditional Gutenberg Blocks? Any insight/usage would be much appreciated.

Hi Brecht – today i was attempting to move my site from php7.4 to php8 but move was not successful (I could not login to admin) and had to revert to 7.4.

It may be that dynamic-widget-content is not compatible with php8

I can see the Dynamic Widget Content block in Gutenberg but when I add it I get the message ‘this block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed’.

It should be possible to use multiple of these widgets.
In the widget-area it is possible to assign more than one, but in the post only one could be edited for a post-related content.
Is there a way to do this or will it come in the near future?

If so, I will avoid all the overloaded Plugins with features I didn’t need.

As more and more hosts are moving to PHP 7 due to speed and security issues, I’m going through client sites to check for compatibility and it seems your plugin is not compatible with PHP 7.

The specific error messages I get are below. Will you be upgrading your widget to make it compatible any time soon? Neither of the issues are large and could be corrected within a couple minutes of coding.

Great plugin! loving the simplicity it brings to putting content into widgets.. but this one thing has me at a loss, I’ve tried around 5 different lightbox plugins.. and what works fine on the page content (lightbox pops up) – even copying the exact same code over to the widget box, the lightbox never pops up.. why is this ? is there a way around this ?
