Hello,
I have installed MDC Scroll To Top 3.4.2 under WP 4.3.1 few weeks ago and I had a lot of malfunctions due to this plug-in. Its last update was 3 years ago! WP should remove it from its DB.
Regarding this bloody MDC Scroll To Top 3.4.2, you cannot uninstall it! Best you can do, it’s to unactivated it! AVOID THIS PLUG-IN!

It does its job okay and looks alright, however, there is an error when trying to uninstall it. For that reason, I suggest that anyone not comfortable with changing the code avoid this plugin.
The last line of the uninstall script has a typo.
elete_transient( ‘dynamic_to_top_transient_css’ );
should be:
delete_transient( ‘dynamic_to_top_transient_css’ );

Works like a charm. What a great user interface help. No one likes scrolling back to the top so this really increases user engagement on the page. What a great plug-in. Love the fact that I can match the color to the web site and not have it display on mobile screens. Wonderful job with this. I am using it with Genesis framework and child themes and it doesn’t conflict with any other plugins and I use a lot. Thank you so much.

Avoid using this plugin, it’s extremely hackable and vunerable!
I’ve spent all of today trying to fix around 20 websites from a rival client who recommended this plugin!

If you have this installed, you can’t remove the plugin so I would advise rebuilding your wordpress site!

You can change the colour of the icon, the location, the speed it returns to the top as well as turning it off for mobile. The plugin does everything it should.

Install this plugin and you’re done. It also has great customization options as well! But the arrow icon does not appear in IE7/8. You can use text instead, but it doesn’t look as nice. I have to use the manual jQuery plugin from the developer’s website until this is fixed.
