I am using this plugin to duplicate TEC events. It is working well since years.
Now, with the upgrade to TEC 6.0, it no longer works; I get the message “You must install The Events Calendar plugin before enabling the Duplicate TEC Event plugin!”, although TEC is installed !
Uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin doesn’t help.
Any help ?
]]>I’ve sent a message to Ben Lobaugh who is listed as one of the contributors on this plugin via his website to see if there are plans to continue to maintain it or if it would be possible for someone else to take over development. It’s still a very useful plugin.
Any developer volunteers if I get a response? (Plugin development isn’t my strength.)
]]>Hi,
Is this plugin still active?
I have this
Notice: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/deprecated/TribeEventsAPI.php is deprecated since version 3.10! Use Tribe__Events__API instead. in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 398
Thx!
]]>Hi Ben,
This is a great plugin!
I’d like to recommend a small adjustment.
Now, if users are duplicating an event that also has tickets via Event Tickets / Event Tickets Plus, and have already sold some, then the duplicate will give them wrong ticket stock info.
There is a meta data with the meta_key ‘_tribe_progressive_ticket_current_number’, which obviously also gets duplicated. For a new / duplicated event this should be 0.
Would it be possible to add this _feature_ to your plugin?
Cheers,
Andras
The plugin works great for duplicating event info. Unfortunately my client sells tickets for events and the plugin doesn’t duplicate ticket info. Since my client offers after school programs for up to 100 schools, with updates ever 3 months I really need to be able to be able to duplicate ticket info.
Hope I’m not shooting myself in the foot by saying I’d be willing to buy a pro version if that’s what it takes. But since that seems to be the basic MO of The Events Manager developers (Events Manager, Events Manager Pro, Tickets, Tickets Pro, etc.) I wouldn’t hold it against duplicate-tec-event if you did it too.
Since the alternative is to figure out TEC’s egregiously complex multi-file CSV import tech, being able to include ticket info when duplicating would be very helpful.
Thanks!
]]>I have installed and activated this plug-in but do not see any options to duplicate an event either in the Events list or inside an event. Where do I duplicate the event, please?
]]>I was happy to find this plugin, since it is basic functionality that is missing in at least the free version of TEC. The plugin does duplicate the event, but in the proces it changes the permalink of the original version of the event too.
So, after copying I end up with a concept version of the event having the permalink of the original Event extended with “-2”, but this is also done in de original (published) event that should remain available under the old URL.
Don’t know why this happens, perhaps it is not maintained for too long, but for me it is useless in this way. If it is corrected, I’ll be happy to use it.
]]>With latest version of TEC, this plugin gives warning that TribeEventsAPI is deprecated and to use Tribe__Events__API instead.
]]>Would like to provide community add-on users to duplicate events they enter. They can add, edit, and delete. But how can I give the choice to duplicate an event.
And just so I’m clear – not from the admin – but from the tri.be community add-on user interface.
