Hi Support,
I’ve been using this plugin for some time now and just recently maybe in the past month or so, the import has been importing duplicate tweets constantly and sometime even triple and quadruple tweets. I’ve had to flush the tweets out and therefore they aren’t appearing on the page at the moment, I just wanted to know if this is a common problem and if so is there a current fix for this.
Thank you

Instead of importing certain hashtags, is there a way to run and import a Advanced search? Ref: https://twitter.com/search-advanced
]]>We used to use this plugin a long time ago – it accumulated images etc. for a long time and we don’t use it anymore. Is there an easy way to uninstall this and delete all images it added?

]]>I need to know if there is a way that I can format the content of these Twitter Imports in any way, at the moment the Tweet is being pulled into both the post title and the post content, idealy I would want the authors ‘@author’ text added to the title and not the entire content.
Thank you
Scott
Another request to import images. Your Instagram plugin (which I love) does this.
Thanks!
]]>Hi,
great plugin. I have only one question. Are you planning to add the option to import twits with photos? That would be awesome.
Kind Regards
CJ
I imported the first time with no specifications, but only got tweets back to July 2016. I tried the suggestion to delete all, empty trash. I even deleted the twitter user and started again. The second time, I set for all tweets from January 1, 2010 (I have tweets back to December 2006, so I know they’re there). Same results. Exactly 200 tweets.
I tried setting different starting dates, but all returned the message “No new tweets to import”. Which isn’t true because the earliest tweet that imported is from July 23, 2016.
]]>Simple question: Is this plugin designed to automatically import new Tweets as they happen? Or is it just a one-off import each time you use the ‘Import’ button in the plugin?
Thanks!
]]>Great plugin everyone! Thanks so much. I’m having issues when trying to add it to my git repository though – here’s the error I get:
fatal: Not a git repository: wp-content/plugins/dsgnwrks-twitter-importer/TwitterWP/../.git/modules/TwitterWP
Any ideas? I use git for deployment so it’s critical to me being able to use this thing out in the wild.
Thanks!
]]>bug: if you try to insert a twitter username with capital letters, it give some problems (need to delete it from the database to solve);
suggestion: for the option “Assign posts to an existing user:” is not better to have a manual input field as category/tags field ? because if there are so much users the actual dropdown menu can give some problems I think.
question 1: is possible to exclude from imports all tweets that are directed to someone ? like “@user blablabla”
question 2: is possible to (optionally) get also posted, for every imported tweet, the relative link ?
Regards =)

]]>I set up the plugin and did an import, and all that went fine, but it’s never imported anything else since.
Is there a scheduled task to keep the archiving up to date, or is the user actually expected to remember to push the button manually every once in a while?

]]>When using multiple Twitter accounts, how does one differentiate which tweets are from which accounts? It would be great if you can add a tag of the twitter account to the post.
Then you could have a link in the post that showed the account that created the Tweet, and the link would go to the WordPress search for the tag of the twitter user (i.e. website.com/tag/twittername).
So you have the username, then the tweet, then after that it would be good to have the actually tweet timestamp (in parenthesis maybe). Perhaps the timestamp could be a link to the original tweet on twitter.com. That would make the tweet much more readable and easier to differentiate between twitter users.
Also, it would be nice if you could convert all the hashtags and twitternames into links to the appropriate places on twitter.com (i.e. @jtsternberg would link to https://twitter.com/jtsternberg and #wordpress would link to https://twitter.com/search?q=%23wordpress).
For archival purposes it would be nice to expand shortlinks into their original long forms. There are services like https://longurl.org/ that have APIs for doing this easily.
Lastly, a really cool feature would be to detect that an imported tweet is part of a longer conversation and import all the tweets in the conversation. Being able to see the whole conversation at once would be really cool (perhaps a link in the tweet’s post that goes to another post of the whole conversation?). This is a much moe complicated suggestion I know, but I can dream.

]]>The import started out, and then halted at 183 posts.
I went back to run the import again, but this time I got a message “No new tweets to import.”
So, I set the date to 1/1/2010, ran import again, and got the same error.
I have quite a few more tweets, going back to 2007, but I’d rather have them in WP, rather than separate software.

Any suggestions?

]]>Any plans to support multiple twitter accounts? It would be great if you could use the plug-in to archive multiple accounts.
Also, it would be useful if you could convert shortened links to their full URL (using an API like https://longurl.org/ or using Twitter’s own expanded_url attribute if you are using twitter APIs, although I don’t think that’s necessary).
