My question is related to the robots.txt file. My site has been under maintenance mode prior to launching, and I had also discouraged search engines in WordPress settings to prevent unfinished pages from ranking easily.
I have just made the site live, and all pages are visible. If I search for it on Google, the description is blocked because of the robots.txt file. Will this notice disappear once the site is able to propogate naturally in search engines? Is there any further action I need to take to ensure that there is nothing prohibiting this?

The twitter feed widget does not load when my site is viewed on the Chrome browser. I can see my latest tweet on Safari but when my page is loaded using Chrome, my tweets do not display. Instead, the “loading” gif displays forever. See adamlewkovitz.com for an example.

I am having 3 problems with the plug in. They are:
1) for newsletter sign up I am getting error message that says “error please try again” but I am getting emails from people trying to register. Question, is this supposed to be automatic sign up? I am using Mail Chimp. I have the Mail Chimp plug in installed.
2) Cursor/Timer on page is constantly spinning
3) My twitter and facebook url’s don’t point directly to the individual pages, they point right back to my website with the twitter or facebook url included.

I use shared SSL on my site, and so I access my admin through a link which looks something like this: https://secure.myhost.com/~myusername/mydomain.com/wp-admin. When I click visit site I get forwarded to the plain site: https://mydomain.com and the plugin presents the maintenance screen as it seems does not recognize that I am still logged in as administrator. Any help is greatly appreciated.

]]>I have WP Super Cache plugin installed and was wondering if cached pages will be visible with maintenance mode on? I was able to see the home page, e.g., even though I was logged out and cleared browsing history. After disabling the Super Cache, it seemed to fix that issue.

Is there a way to disable maintenance mode on certain pages?
Basically, we run a competition, but we are going to redesign the whole website. We still want to take in applicants while the site is down so that we can continue again as soon as the new site is finished, but the contact form on the maintenance mode plugin does not have an image submission section which is very much needed.
So I would like to continue to use our current apply page and form, but obviously you cannot see it while maintenance mode is switched on
Any help would be greatly appreciated…

So I have the plugin installed and running on my homepage at: https://www.buzzfix.ca . When a user enters their email in the newsletter box or the contact form they don’t receive the success message. All they see is the 3 bar loading thing and it get stuck on that.
Also the emails entered in the newsletter form do not get added to my mailchimp account, they only get sent to the email itself.
One last thing, my contact email is on the hostgator server and I have an auto responder setup. The auto responder does not seem to work if the emails are sent through the contact form.

Now I have a new install on another domain and the only thing not working is the timer widget – shows the circles but no countdown.
