As simple as ingeniously!
No rubbish, just a div with desired class and id around certain part of content.

Works beautifully. Thank you!

With this plugin I can use simple DIV codes in the WordPress visual editor. This is much easier than inserting div commands in text mode, which will get messed up whenever you edit in visual mode..
It pulls in my custom CSS so I can style it the way I want. The only catch is not to revert to HTML div syntax. Use brackets like this: [div class=”mycss”][end-div]. Thanks for a great plugin!

This is on my list of go-to plugins that I use on practically all of my projects. Such an easy and reliable way to add style and function to content that doesn’t interfere with my clients’ low-tech workflow. A must!

Drop the tags in and it’s easy styling. Couldn’t be easier.

The plugin does what it should do. At first I was suprised that there is an [end-div] tag instead of a closing [/div], but I guess that’s because you can’t nest shortcodes of the same type in WordPress, can you?
For german readers: Read an example of the plugin on my blog: https://www.bjoerne.com/eigene-shortcodes-schreiben-oder-div-shortcode-verwenden/
