Can’t disable “”Email to a Friend” feature, which is currently responsible for upwards of 1,400 SPAM messages a day. This needs to be addressed.

Displet might be good, but I cannot get them to even respond to me or process my order for their pro version plugin. Was going to run their plugin on about 10 sites, but they have lost my business today by not responding at all. You will likely become frustrated by their complete lack of communication, like I am. It’s hard to use your plugin if you won’t even take the time to sell it to me. Goodbye Displet, hello dsIDX…

Our real estate firm hired Displet in Novmeber 2013 to design and build a custom WordPress website using their IDX Plug-in. The project was quoted at $8K and 30 to 60 days time.
Nine months later and an additional $12,000 in payment, we have a website that was never completed, we were build for work that was either never done, or work that had to be re-done by our own web team. We have hundreds of screen shots of their shoddy work
In testing the Displet WordPress IDX plugin over three months, we found it was simply not reliable and their customer service was mostly double talk. Time after time thousand of MLS listings for our region just disappeared. DIsplet support kept telling us “sorry we did some updates and those thousands of listings should come back in about 24 hours.”
Next photos of MLS listings started disappearing. Thousands of them simply vanished with the same response from Displet.
After 9 months of frustration we’ve had to hire another web development company to take over this project, and we will be using another IDX plugin.
We are a $60M real estate brand in the Palm Springs market and we’ve built dozens of successful websites so this is not our first time at the rodeo. I’ve been doing high-level marketing for four decades, but I’ve never had to take legal action before.
We are now proceeding with legal action against Displet and it’s double talking owner, Eric Bramlett.

Be very careful if you decide to work with Displet.
I downloaded the free version of the Displet wordpress plugin for real estate listings to test it out, as the company suggests. I was very impressed. I installed it and configured it. All was going well.
However, when I purchased the paid version, which is required to get current available properties for sale, I ran into problems. The plugin was not pulling photos for the newest units, nor was it displaying map results. Also, the daily email of new properties for my saved searches was sending milliion-dollar houses no matter what my preferences were.
For several weeks, I ask repeatedly about when this would be fixed and they would never provide an answer. Nor would they provide a quick code workaround to hide the listings without images until they solved the problem.
They told me to sort the listings by cheapest to most expensive, but their plugin allows shoppers to sort by newest, so I didn’t consider this to be an acceptable alternative.
In short, their service has three major issues that I couldn’t have discovered until I bought the monthly subscription.
1. Pictures for new listings in GA were not available.
2. The google map didn’t work for new listings.
3. The daily email sends million-dollar homes to users who save searches, no matter what their saved preferences are.
For a real estate website, pictures are hugely important. And sending million-dollar homes to people who can’t afford them is just embarrassing. But from their response, it seems as though they just didn’t care.
When I asked for a refund, I was told they don’t offer refunds because they allow you to test out the plugin before you buy the service. However, the problems I had with the service couldn’t have been found until AFTER I paid for it.

I’m so glad that I found this plugin. I installed it and had my IDX up and running in less than 5 minutes. I’ve spent a lot of time customizing the settings, of which there are a ton. I’ve tried 3 other IDX companies, and this is by far the best.

Works as advertised and easy to setup. It has conversion tools I couldn’t find anywhere else. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Great plugin. Easy to use and very fast. I installed it and had an MLS search up and running on my site in about 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

This plugin is a must have for real estate agents. I set up the search on my site in just a few minutes and started creating searches for my clients. Visitors who had been coming to my site can now search properties and they end up registering. The system saves a search for them and then mails them new listings that match their interests, and they end up emailing me when they want to look at a house. It’s awesome.

I’ve used this plugin for about a month now, and it’s great. It’s super easy to install, loads really quickly, and has lots of nice features. I’ve tried 3 different IDX plugins, and this is my favorite by far.

Rueben Adams called to set things up and we discussed what I wanted done. I paid for the full service but the service was never supplied even after multiple attempts to contact him. I tried to contact for a refund as well but was never refunded. If you choose this service I would Beware and not pay for any service upfront. Terrible experience.

I’ve been using this about a year, and have been getting a pretty steady stream of leads. I switched from Diverse Solutions and have been very happy, I convert more traffic to leads with Displet, which is what’s most important to me (why else would I have a website? I’m not really a blogger but I guess a pretty business card has some benefit). Completely indexable listings, so Google finds all my property addresses and I get a decent amount of traffic just from that. I like that they add new features pretty regularly.

I’ve used Displet’s IDX system for 2 years after they built a custom site for me. In short, it’s awesome. They advised me to build out a number of niche landing pages and to drive traffic to those pages, which I did. I started out posting craigslist ads and got busy enough with leads that it made more sense to pay for traffic using Google Adwords. The niche pages convert extremely well. My website loads quickly, my customers like it, and I sell houses because of it. Other than referrals, it’s my #1 source for business.

You have to host your IDX/RETS on “Displets” servers. Do a test and you see how slow the pages load, even with a fast internet connection. On mobile it does not load at all sometimes. Data from wrong regions show up in “your” area. No way to delete “powered by displet” advertisement. Can not use a standard Google sitemap plugin for your listings. You have no control over your data or content at all.
It is also not cheap.

I am certain the first 5 reviews are by friends or family of the owners of Displet. This one is a legit one, by someone who used it. I had to buy it just to see how it worked which cost me $100 “set up” fee, and $60 month first month. Then after it was “set up” I was then able to see it was NOT what anyone would want for many reasons. I sell Charleston SC real estate, and the properties it was showing were labeled NC just for starters. The popup widget caused problems in my site so I had to disable it. Within 4 days of realizing I didn’t want it I notified them I didn’t want it, and they wouldn’t refund my money for being “unhappy with the product”.
Their contract states if for any reason you are unhappy and want to discontinue service we will refund you your first month payment if you give notice within first 10 days which I did. Last I looked still haven’t been refunded.
Here is more reasons why it isn’t what you want:
1.) Uses an iframe which is not good for SEO, or user experience.
2.) You as the owner of the site has zero control over the functionality, design etc. because it’s all on their server
3.) You have to give them backend access to your site basically in the form of an A record.
There is much better services out there, and the one I found is NOT only 100 times better, but also $20 month cheaper.
