Hi there,
The “register an application here” takes us to Twitters 404 page “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!
You can search Twitter using the search box below or return to the homepage.”
Is this plugin no longer supported? It comes included in a Theme.
Please let me know & thank you in advance for your assistance,
Kasia

Hello,
I’m creating a site currently but too many tweets are being displayed. I’ve tried to go into the settings of Display Tweets but I am receiving the error message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. I’m he only administrator on the site – it is the full admin account.
I’m running the latest version of Avada theme with the latest WordPress (4.2.2).
I’ve tried deactivating all the other plugins, and also changing to the 2012 theme. I don’t have the WP Better Security plugin that I have read at a different post causes conflicts.
Thanks for your help.

I have gone through and done all of setup correctly. When I save my settings, I see the tweets appear in the sidecolumn of my site which is great. Then, when I refresh the page, the tweets are no longer there. If I go back in and click “SAVE” again in the settings, they will appear once again, but then disappear once I refresh just as before. Has anyone else had this issue or know a workaround?
I have tried using the php embed coding to put it directly into the sidecolumn as well as adding it as a widget. All produce the same results

Hi,
The plugin seems great but I would like to activate links to hashtags and urls. Do you have any idea if this is possible?
It was brought up in a previous thread but that’s now closed to replies.

I saw that you can link the date with a wordpress filter. Is there any way to link the whole tweet or output anchor links for the URLs within the tweet?

I have double checked all of the settings and all looks good. Did Twitter change something again? Or is it just me?

It used to show the 2 most recent tweets, now shows 1 that is old. Not sure yet if it ever updates but as of yesterday evening something stopped working. During the day it was fine. No updates or changes to site except adding posts.
I’m using this code in a template:
<?php if ( function_exists( "display_tweets" ) ) { display_tweets(); } ?>

Thank you.
I have very basic knowledge of WordPress but the developer of the theme I am using recommended this plugin to display tweets. I have installed the plugin and updated the settings but I am still receiving “No tweets found. Please make sure your settings are correct.” How do I fix this?

Hi there,
Couple of questions: One, can you provide a little more guidance on how to change the html of the tweet: as in what variables there are and how to display them. I’ve played with a function as recommended, but just had a lot of success at getting some php errors. Any chance of a sample function, with more clues as to what to put in the “.. Print your custom tweet HTML here ..” section?
Also, any recommendations for multiple twitter feeds? Beyond copying the plugin, and renaming it, I think I would struggle to add in the functionality to the code that’s there. Maybe a [display_tweets account=”example”] sort of thing?

Would it be possible, or is it possible, to instead display tweets from a Twitter List?
Thank you for any help that you can give on this ??
HI. In implementing this, I get the tweets, but they are wrapped in simple

tags, without any links. Not sure what i have done wrong, although as I am not a developer, perhaps I did not create an app properly in Twitter (not much advice on that for non-developers). This plug-in seems to be the only one I can use that will enable me to style the feed to match the rest of the site… if I can get it to work. Thanks!
Does this work on wamp. I am trying and it is giving error. Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in C:\wamp\www\dsfc\wp-content\plugins\display-tweets-php\includes\Twitter\twitteroauth\twitteroauth.php on line 199. I have input correct twitter related auth codes Any idea what could be causing it. Thanks in advance.

Quick question… Is there something that I can add to my theme’s stylesheet CSS file (using the editor) to indent or move this widget 45 px to the right?

Hi,
So I’ve been trying to get a client’s Twitter feed to display on their site, and have had no luck with any method, including this plugin, which at least supports API 1.1. Despite creating the app through Twitter (I did leave the callback blank) and entering all the settings, I’m still getting the “no tweets found” error. The host is GoDaddy (I know, not my choice), who, according to their docs, support cURL.
Maybe this is helpful: I tried straight-up using Twitter’s Embdedded Timeline widget (within a widget on our site) as well, and all I got was the “Tweets from @[client]” “error,” and the only thing in their docs about that is that the domain wasn’t whitelisted when creating the widget. Domain whitelisting is no longer supported by the API. So.
Hi there, my font is black on a blue background, according to my WordPress settings. Unfortunately, when run with your plugin the links in my twitter feed come through as “blank”.
Is there anyway I can specify the font colour of hyperlinks in my feed display?…!
Please find an example here:
https://www.italternative.co.uk
You will see the font for the URL is “invisible” on the page.

I am having issue with this plugin. Please review this url.
The plugin is at the lower right.
Per the developer, curl is installed but I think not. However, I wanted to share this with you verify if curl is or is not installed and if the problem is with the way I set it up or conflicting with another plugin.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Matthew,
I think you will need to change the permissions on the settings menu for multisite users. I changed it here from edit_plugins to edit_others_posts to allow individual blog admins to have access to the Twitter Feed settings menu.

Hello,
This plugin appears to be simple, and straightforward, but I’m unsure why I’m getting a ‘No tweets found. Please make sure your settings are correct.’ message.
I’ve confirmed all the keys and secrets are correct. I also believe the Twitter username matches the account that retrieved those keys.
One thing I’m thinking is the site is behind a username and password entry. It’s a private site. Is this potentially causing problems?
Any thoughts or ideas to look for. I know the account exists and has tweets from as long as 1 hour ago at this time.
Thanks!
Brandon

Any ideas?
Thank you!

Is it possible to add the Twitter profile image to the tweet with a link to the profile?
Can I request this for a future version?
Otherwise, great and simple plugin.
I installed the plugin and I see the widget however there is no admin panel within the settings. I’m assuming (based on the screen shots here) that under settings I should have a “twitter feed” but I don’t. Any ideas on how to adjust the settings, etc. Or am I missing something? Thanks
