Very useful and easy to use

Themes often override page layout/template options when designating them to built in posts archive page – this plugin allowed a simple display of posts just as I required using a shortcode, allowing me to have full control over the environment it was placed in.
Will require CSS knowledge to adjust appearance. If that is not for you then purchase a plugin that offers those adjustments via GUI.

Really useful tool for showing posts and custom post types by tag, category, etc

This plug is very easy to use and the best solution we have found to display lists of posts. We did do a bit of CSS/customization work to display the posts just the way we wanted (Small image, title only, etc), but there are out-of-the-box customization options that are very good.
We have added their shortcodes on hundreds of pages to automatically display related posts that have the same tag (at the end of each post).
You will need to spend at least 10-15 minutes to review their documentation on “Display settings” or “Filter settings” to understand how the shortcodes work.
Overall: A+

Muy bueno si necesitas control para mostrar tus entradas

I have used this more then once when the Query block can not handle it.

This plugin works great, with some basic config of the shortcode and some styling this simple plugin works amazingly well. Huge thanks to the dev, I was really having a hard time finding some way of doing this without custom template files. Love the simplicity and functionality.

It works. If you don’t know how, you probably should refer to back away from the display. ??

nothing shows, or incompatible with woocommerce. no idea why, but i replaced this plugin by simple php snippets. much easier.

It just displays a bulleted list of the titles. Very misleading.

I needed to filter a list of posts by category and a couple custom fields and this did the trick with some PHP help in the functions file.
Lots of understandable documentation.
One of the best things is it will display formatted posts with links, images, etc. because it will display the_content whereas some of the Page & Post Grid blocks that I am familiar with will only display the_excerpt or a bunch of run-on unformatted text limited to a certain length. So it gives the ability to display posts as displayed on an archive (category) page anywhere else in your site, something we used to only be able to do with a hook.

Various needs filled, info above the image, image and title centered and all responsive, I had to keep looking to make it responsive, the first grid wasn’t…
Thanks a lot and Happy New Year.

I don’t normally detour to post review, but want to give Bill a shout for solving my bother. Since I use WordPress as a CMS, posts get updated more frequently than new posts being added. “Recent Posts” is not so useful as “Recent Updates”. I tried a bunch of plug-ins for listing posts, a couple “kinda worked” but not satisfying. Expanding my search to plug-ins for general handling of posts, I found this. It took a few minutes to digest the help pages, and I worked up the shortcode for the sidebar:
[display-posts date_query_column=”post_modified” orderby=”post_modified” posts_per_page=”10″ include_date_modified=”true”]
which is just what I wanted – a list with the same format as my “Key Pages” and “Recent Posts” showing post I recently edited. The site seems to runs as smoothly as before Display Posts and no CSS error messages. Thank you, Bill, I am so pleased with this plug-in!

I’m using this plugin to display the update history on the top page.
For the thumbnail files used by this plugin, I used another plugin “Regenerate Thumbnails” to create img16x16 thumbnails at once. It would be even better if we could set the thumbnail size parametrically without having to do this.

Post blocks are very necessary even with Full Site Editing because the default display recent posts block is pretty bad TBH.
This is a good one, and with a little CSS you can get it to look exactly as you want. Hopefully, more features will be built in in the future.

I have hardly any page that does not use this plugin to display information extracted from posts. By using its hooks, I am able to generate carousels, accordions, and lists of posts for alerts, news, faqs, fundraisers, booking calendar, events, testimonials, and so on.

Lightweight, well documented, and feature rich. Can’t imagine not having this for my site.

I’ve been using this plugin together with the Column Extension for many years to realize:
– Related Posts (inline the content and grid below the content)
– sitemaps
I’m very excited, this is the most flexible plugin.
thank you

It allows you to easily customise you posts, custom_type,…
If you use ACF + the “template parts” feature, you can easily build super custom & light templates for almost anything.
I love it.

I have been looking for something that would give me more control over the display of posts for quite some time. This plugin was like striking gold. Not only is it ridiculously easy to install and implement, it has great support pages on the designer’s web site and the code is a model of careful structure and documentation. If you want to learn PHP and plugin development, this is the code to use as an outstanding example.

I use it to display a list of monthly posts – it works great (with WordPress 5.6).
Thanks for this great plugin!

I feel after reading through some of the previous comments (from YEARS ago!) that this plugin is well-designed. For FREE. Thank you so much for creating it!

This plugin has an OBSCENE amount of shortcode parameters that you can mix and match to dynamically display posts of ANY criteria you could dream of, and you can do it as many times as you want in the same page and stylize it however you want with the proper CSS selectors.
Simply said, this plugin unleashes your WP site’s BEAST MODE.

I had this plugin installed a very long time ago. But only when I started to reorganize my website I learned all its great functionality to love! And I have only tapped some of its many features.
As I am not comfortable with CSS Styling I learned to value the example on the tutorial page.

This plugin was great to add to our intranet websites. We have noticed that users have to enter this shortcode through the text portion (only) of a page (Classic WP) and cannot toggle back and forth between text and visual otherwise this shortcode will break. Which this wouldn’t be an issue but majority of our users do not know html and would prefer not to create a page only in html. This limits our users and doesn’t allow them to freely edit a website, which is needed, for our intranet is made up of thousands of websites with double almost triple the amount of users.
After testing with some of our existing plugins like the post tabs (we took over the coding because we need it for some of our standard template designs) the shortcode wouldn’t display there either.
We love the different parameters and options this plugin offers but the issues we are experiences is causing more work for us in the end.
