I will be moving north of PHP 7.4 soon, but before I do, I want to ensure my plugins are ready. Is this plugin compatible with PHP 8.2?
Thank you!
]]>www.remarpro.com as well as the relatively widely used security plugin Wordfence are flagging this plugin as unmaintained. From what I can tell. it’s still working fine.
Not sure, if David still considers this plugin worthwhile to serve as a gateway to his other plugins. If yes, it might be worth updating, so it shows as compatible with current WordPress versions.
Or if it’s just not worth the hassle, that would be understandable, but might be nice to leave a comment here — or even take it out of the www.remarpro.com plugin repository?
]]>Hi David
How can I add some translations in German for this plugin?
It seems the plugin is not yet ready for translation as I saw on this page.
Thanks,
Michael
I’ve been using the plugin for a few years. I’ve been seeing an error on each site I maintain several months ago:
(HY000/2002): Connection refused in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/display-php-version/display-php-version.php on line 38
Warning: mysqli_get_server_info() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli, bool given in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/display-php-version/display-php-version.php on line 38
Switching to Twenty Twenty-One doesn’t effect it. Disabling ALL plugins, except this one, doesn’t fix it either.

]]>Delighted to see that this simple but very helpful plugin has once again been activated and will get off the ‘deprecated’ list.
I installed the 1.7 update, but the following error is being displayed on the dashboard page:
“Warning: mysqli_connect(): (HY000/2002): Connection refused in /…/wp-content/plugins/display-php-version/display-php-version.php on line 38 Warning: mysqli_get_server_info() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli, bool given in /volume1/web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/display-php-version/display-php-version.php on line 38”
I don’t know if this is because my system is using MariaDB instead of MySQL as the display returns an blank for the MySQL entry.

WordPress 5.7.1 running Hello Elementor Child theme.
Running PHP version: undefined
]]>Wordfence reports that “The Plugin “Display PHP Version” appears to be abandoned”.
Plugin Name: Display PHP Version
Current Plugin Version: 1.5
Last Updated: 2019-04-26
Details: It was last updated 2 years 0 months ago and tested up to WordPress 5.1.9. Plugins can be removed from www.remarpro.com for various reasons. This can include benign issues like a plugin author discontinuing development or moving the plugin distribution to their own site, but some might also be due to security issues. In any case, future updates may or may not be available, so it is worth investigating the cause and deciding whether to temporarily or permanently replace or remove the plugin.`
]]>I’m using the plugin (Display PHP Version) and can see the version displayed on the Dashboard, “Running PHP version: 7.0.33” However, my cPanel display (through MultiPHP Manager on Bluehost) confirms I’ve upgraded and displays PHP 7.3 (ea-php73). Any suggestions what might be interfering with the correct display of the version on the Dashboard? Maybe other plugins or something?
Thank you.
]]>Hi, I updated my hosting to PHP 7.3 but wordpress still shows as 5.6 in the “At a glance” or showing the “PHD Update Required” notification.
Any clue as to why?
Hi
Whilst installing an update to WP (5.1.1) it told me I should consider an update to a newer version of PHP.
My host did this for me and phpinfo.php tells me I now have 7.0.33
I installed your plugin and in the “At a Glance” it stated PHP in 5.4.45
Perhaps it’s an incompatibility with the app and 5.1.1 of WP?
If not, why would I get a mismatch? The Dashboard is still telling me to consider the PHP update so I suspect the app is correct?
Any pointers welcomed.
I installed this plug-in and activated with no issue, but nothing is showing past “WordPress 4.9.8 running upBootWP theme.”
]]>Is it because I don’t have the right PHP version to run the code. That’s a catch 22.
]]>The Plug-in was installed, and activated without issue; however, the PHP version display has not been added to the Dashboard “At A Glance” informational window. No error messages or warnings were generated during the Activation of the Plug-in.
