]]>I am using this because some plugins are slowing down the admin of WordPress whenever they check for updates (not been able to determine which ones yet), and with the plugin active it’s much better.
But I’d still like to be able to update plugins. Using InfiniteWP it thinks it has updated them but it doesn’t really.
Is there any way, other than disabling this plugin each time, to allow updates to be performed on the site temporarily?

Perhaps a white and a black list ?
We run WP in a DMZ with strict outgoing firewall rules, so any traffic is blocked and slowing down some admin pages
