This is a lifesaver! We’re using it as a temp fix we’re having with srcset images not loading from a CDN properly. Thanks!

I’m amazed how simple this plugin is. It didn’t completely remove the ‘srcset’ attribute but only removed the extra image sizes it contains. I was using retina support, so it kept the 1x and 2x sizes in srcset but removed all other sizes. Perfect plugin! Huge thanks to the developers/contributors.

We had several sites with the issue on high-res mobile screens, with WordPress core serving up severely pixelated images on responsive themes. Ditto on @secludedsea comment above. Unacceptable, WordPress! Fix the issue and give us the control in future releases. Are you kidding? Also worked on 4.2.2 for whatever that’s worth.

We had a problem after a theme update. After the update, and regenerating thumbnails using a plugin, images were consistently sized on a Windows desktop and a Surface Pro, but not on at least one iPad. On the iPad some featured images in post lists (widgets) were reduced in size, making the site look inconsistent. I don’t know whether it was the theme, WordPress, or who-knows-what, but this plugin fixed that. Thank you!

Since I am making my images already optimized, some with text on it, I don’t want wp to display a fuzzy blurry picture by default on high res smartphones…
Thanks to the creator, please keep updating your plugin as it is a great asset, don’t abandon it please! Cheers!

This plugin is a quick and effective fix a wide range of conflicts caused by the responsive images. Thanks a lot!

Using a very standard WordPress installation with the latest 2016 theme and nothing fancy. But all the images were broken on my retina iPad with iOS 8.1.3. Thanks for the temporary fix with this plugin.

WP 4.4 played havoc with my site and this beauty solves the blurred image one (both theme and now WP, were both fighting to make image responsive)
All I need now is to get the image library to display in grid mode and to be able to add images within posts/pages as worked prior to update… (feel free to make a plugin, it’s apparently a common flaw which *may* be dealt with in 4.5)

Responsive images generated by WordPress were failing to load as they weren’t SSL. This plugin saved the day until a fix can be mafe.

Thank you! So simple! Works immediately after installation. I’ve been panicking about my unprofessional-looking fuzzy images on Retina displays ever since WP 4.4. (WP 4.4 had influenced my Bounce rate!) You have saved me! Many, many thanks! My website looks normal now!

The fuzzy images on my iPad Mini Retina were driving me crazy. I tried replacing images and some other failed solutions until I found this plugin. It saved my sanity!

After the update to 4.4, some images were appearing pixelated on retina screens. Disabling responsive images handling in 4.4 with this plugin has fixed it.
As much as responsive images are the future of the web, they weren’t broken for me before 4.4, even though CSS was being used to resize images exclusively. I can deal with some mild jaggies on retina screens, but awful pixelation due to the 4.4 upgrade is unacceptable.
I’m sure it will be fixed when everything else catches up.

Had trouble with some images not being displayed properly and traced the problem to responsive images. Installed and activating this plugin fixed it!
