After activating plugin, the wp-pointer does not appear, but underneath on the log console I could see js error:
Uncaught TypeError: $(…).first(…).pointer is not a function
which means WordPress still executing that pointer / tooltip, only this time function not defined..
This might stop the other script from executing properly..
]]>I couldn’t find anything else to address this but luckily your plugin still works after two years. Thanks for making it. Might want to update something so the repository doesn’t show it as being ancient. Especially since I can see many people wanting it and no-one else has made something like it. Thanks again!
]]>Hello and thank you for a unique plugin,
Unfortunately it seems broken on the latest version of wordpress on a multisite (network enabled).
I mean it blocks the pointers BUT,
it also blocks everything else as well (the pop out menus everywhere as well as the dashboard- it becomes “rigid”)
Could you please look into it?
thank you in advance
]]>Just upgraded to 3.4.1 and the pointers were driving me crazy since they are everywhere and I couldn’t close them down ??
This plugin is FANTASTIC.
Thank you very much,
Karen
The plugin only seems to disable some of the styling rather than the whole pointer, as evidenced in this screenshot: https://screencast.com/t/HfwwkhLfh7
