Hello – can you tell me if the mangling tool conflicts with the Media File Renamer plugin? And what does the mangle thing do? Just change the name of the attachment pages? Or change the name of the media files? Does it change the post name at all?
Also is it possible for you to tell me what the below statement means? I don’t really understand it. What are non-unique slugs exactly, and what does “reserve slugs from pages” mean? Is this saying that the plugin may hide pages if they have a similar name to a slug?
“There are xxxx attachments with non-unique slugs.?With the plugin active, users can’t access these pages. However, these attachments may accidentally reserve slugs from your pages. It’s recommended to run the mangle attachments tool to prevent any potential issues in the future.”
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for the excellent plugin and your dedication!
After the latest update (v3.1.0), the debug.log file is being overwhelmed. Can this issue be addressed promptly please?
The problem has been reported on your GitHub Repository: Issue #42.
]]>I got this plugin a couple months ago and it worked at first, but now all my photos can be accessed. I have REST API disabled – is that the issue (I saw it mentioned in some other posts here)?
I did the mangle thing but I am not sure how long it takes and I suppose caching affects it? So I can’t tell yet if it worked. However, I can see any media file as long as I have the link (not logged in, different browser) and Google indexes everything. Ugh.
Any suggestion? (I don’t want to link my site for privacy reasons. Privacy is what i desperately need for my pictures. thanks).
]]>Hello,
Is it possible to set a 410 code rather than a 404? It would surely deindex those pages more quickly.
Best regards,
Florence.
Hi! I install the plugin and all the attachment page links becomes the image links wp-content/uploads/.
But i found that there are still auto redirects to wp-content/uploads/ for deleted posts URL which contain the same keywords in the permalinks.
How to fix such auto redirect?
For exmaple:
https://example.com/investing/stock-trading/ is auto redirected to
https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Stock-Trading.png
Thanks.
]]>This is an outstanding plugin. It really gets the job done, and right!
I very much appreciate your maintaining this plugin as it’s such an important plugin I honestly don’t know why this option isn’t directly built into WordPress.
Again, Thank you very much. Keep up the great work.

Hello,
at first thank you for developing the plugin, it seems very helpful. Before I can use it on my website I want to make shure if there could be any problems with GDPR.
So my question: Is the plugin GDPR compliant? Meaning does the plugin transfer any personal data (IP address for instance) to an external source?
I think this unlikely, but I want to make sure.
Thanks in advance
Leonie
]]>Hey, thank you for making such a great plugin.
I wanted to bring a bug to your attention, which caused a huge issue for me when also using WP Rocket.
On a normal installation of wordpress, the homepage/index.php is redirected to the homepage itself. However, when your plugin is activated, that redirection no longer works, and the /index.php page itself is displayed.
This causes major issues with caching plugins, as they create cached versions of a php page, which results in a cascade of 403 errors when this page is cached and loaded through wp rocket.
I just wanted to bring this issue to your attention.
]]>Open the plugin settings page without reacting
“Please wait while we fetch the plugin status…”
How can I remove the “View attachment page” button
]]>Hi,
after I used this plugin, mangled all attachments, all of my images/media dissappeared from whole site.
Do I have to reassign/replace them all now? I thought the plugin also replaces all links in posts and product pages to mangled attachments.
Is it somehow reversible?

]]>It is very difficult to find your plugin in the wordpress “store”. Can you rename it “disable attachment pages” or “disable media attachment pages”. Attachment page is the term used in the library of wordpress.
thank you.
